This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

You can't have "guatanteed neutrality," that's absurd. Who is going to guarantee it, and with what?

Sure you can. Just guarantee neither side will incorporate the country into their military alliance and festoon it with bases.
It’s that simple, why is it absurd?
‘Who’ would be NATO and Russia. No one else is really relevant.

So we "guarantee" Ukraine's sovereignty, and Russia invades again. Then what? We fight Russia?
Yes, that’s how that would work.

And anyway, the US, UK, and Russia ALREADY guaranteed Ukraine's sovereignty and security, in the 1994 Budapest Memorandum,
Glad you mentioned the sovereignty part, I think that is critical to what has come to pass and too often unobserved.
When your diplomats are exposed debating and picking out the next president a few weeks before a coup, that’s a violation of the sovereignty of that nation.
Maybe you’re just slow on the uptake, and figure Victoria ‘**** the EU’ Nuland was really just an astute guesser, but the conversation goes farther than that.
Obama’s state department couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge the consequences of the previous election, so they fomented a coup to overturn it. Hence, ‘**** the EU’ and their patience with the long game of enticing Ukraine into their political and economic union.

look what happened to them.
We ignored their sovereignty and so did Russia. That’s what happened to them.

If this is true, she’s the new propaganda champ.

WTF?
Yes, that’s how that would work.
I want to make sure I understand this...we DON'T take Ukraine into NATO but we DO agree that neither side takes them into a security alliance. But if Russia invades...we go to war with Russia. Over their invasion of Ukraine. And that's "different" from them being IN NATO. Because Russia...what?

That makes no sense at all.

The rest of this is just idiotic.

Never mind - the whole thing is idiotic.
