Well they told them not to. In fear of safety concerns. The man has had 3 attempts on his life they know of. Better save than sorry. Literally the only reason they did it was a name dropping type brag.

Yes. According to multiple reports, shortly after the tweet went out, the Ukrainians interrupted the meeting and again warned US pols to not tweet. Was just reported on CNN in an interview with a US Rep that was in the meeting .

The vast majority of even ethnic Russians want independence. The "seperatists" are nothing more than Russian nationals who were sent over the border by Putin to provide him pretext to seize the portions of Ukraine he wanted, and control Ukrainian affairs. This was heavily documented back in 2014. Putin stuck his foot in it, and this war will not end until all Russians are out, and Ukraine has its borders back
