This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Where does that say he’s being paid by Russia? Goldie was implying he was being paid.
Sorry - I thought that was controversy around Swalwell was with the Russian students.

Maybe this is it? 2,900?

Swalwell, a member of the House Intelligence Committee, received $2,900 last year from Vincent Roberti Sr., the chairman of lobbying powerhouse Roberti Global. Roberti gave $5,400 to Swalwell’s campaign in 2018. Roberti Global received $2.4 million in 2021 from Nord Stream 2 AG, a Switzerland-based subsidiary of Russian oil giant Gazprom. Critics of the 761-mile pipeline have long said it would allow Vladimir Putin to tighten his grip on Eastern Europe.

Please quote what fostered that misapprehension in your mind.
I’m curious what you’ve mistaken as ‘a stand’ with Russia.

I’m opposed to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
I’m opposed to the Turkish invasion of Syria.
I’m opposed to the Saudi invasion of Yemen.
I’m opposed to the U.S. invasion of Syria.

This tweet is Kremlin propaganda that LITERALLY SAYS #istandwithrussia

The only thing that matters is the fact that they were told not to put anything on social media in real time. He’s a self important prick.
Define “anything.” Regular media outlets knew the meeting was taking place and reported this morning on it. I’m curious what sensitive information might have been exposed? Details are more useful than blanket outrage. Right now we have a lot of the latter and none of the former.

Have you no shame sir? Defending this treasonous pile of excrement? Do you love this country or this false twofaced sellout?

I think finding out ALL of the facts before condemning someone is a tenet to uphold.

To condemn someone without all the facts is something the Ruskies would do.

Therefore, I shall ask you Sir why you are defending fascist ideas that are a clear threat to democracy?

It seems like Putin is trying to bait NATO into the war, telling him we are not entering the war gives him less options. We just need to sit back and watch Ukraine torch em.
Agreed.
I think he would love for us to get involved so he can change the narrative of Russia as the aggressor and rally the Russian people.

I doubt they have. However, by reassuring Putin that we do not intend to send troops, the idea is to keep him from feeling backed into a corner and launch nuclear weapons. That's all designed to keep him from feeling cornered. Although Russia's actions seem to be to try and provoke a situation where we don't have a choice but to do exactly that.

Did you pay any attention to what the German politician said?
I don’t care a whit about a hashtag. Never paid attention to it.
Is this one of those things where if you forward a piece information some people assume that can only mean 100% alignment with the information in question?

For example, if your college professor explains the rationale Hitler laid out, and then followed, in his path to war, is your assumption the person relaying this information to you not only endorses Hitler’s reasons, but probably flies the swastika at home?

Are you that simple?

The ineptness of this invasion by Russia is almost unbelievable. From not committing the necessary air resources to gain superiority, to the lack of supply lines, poor strategic battle group usage, not doing enough to prevent resupply from outside of the country, etc. I can't tell if it's just complete total ineptness from Russian military leaders, horribly outdated military equipment, having zero what-if planning, or what. Ukraine is flat decimating the Russian military at this point (or so it seems).

How in the heck do you digest this? It's freaking great.

Of all the political offices in all the federal, state or local government systems we have, the US Senate has to be the most useless, worthless, inept body around. It’s full of overrated shit-for-brains.
100 people have enormous power over 330 million of their fellow citizens. Think about that.
If only those 100 were among the best America has to offer.

Not to mention, what is said one day and what is done another can be totally different. It's like people expect Biden and others are bound to what they've said previously. SMH

The Russians don't know what they're fighting for.

The Ukrainians are fighting for their lives.

So then do an investigation and find out if he is truly that incompetent- can’t follow simple directions or is compromised.

So CNN says US is working with Poland on possibility of providing fighter jets to Ukraine.
How quickly would this need to move? Who is trained to fly our planes?
Poland can fly our planes. They are also scheduled to receive F-35s in 2024. No real chance of backfilling Poland's inventory immediately, but perhaps NATO could increase fighter patrols if Poland provides their MiGs to Ukraine.
