This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Good stuff from POTUS:

This is the part where I really wish we could send Bond, Reacher, or Norris into that isolated Siberian bunker that has the master "ABORT" red button for all Russian nukes. Once that's handled, just like what happens during the end credits you'll see Putin walk into his dark bedroom with Bond, Reacher, or Norris sitting in his chair with a silenced pistol and scotch in his hand. After some witty exchange they dispatch him.

Long, but excellent, article:

We were warned. In the 21 years since President George W. Bush declared Putin a man he could trust—having apparently peered into his soul—the Russian leader invaded Georgia, backed Assad in Syria, intervened in the U.S. election, annexed Crimea, armed separatists in Ukraine (who then shot down a Dutch aircraft), assassinated enemies in Britain and Germany, and, then, finally, launched a full-scale invasion of a sovereign European country. And still leaders across the West—among the populist right and the populist left, from Donald Trump in the U.S. to the Stop the War Coalition in Britain—defend, explain, excuse, or even praise Putin.

Reading through the tea leaves on everything these last 48 hours, I get the sense for the first time ever, Putin may be in real danger of being taken out by his military/people.
They’re closing in on Kiev. Tonight seems like it will be decisive.

If they make it through the night, tomorrow we need to drop the hammer on China. Russia threatened us with nuclear weapons. We should cut off anyone who continues to deal with them.
