This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Just inferring longer reach.

When TWA-800 went down I recall the dad of my girlfriend at the time, an EWO/Navigator in B-52s in Vietnam, said it wouldn’t have been a MANPAD. Since the explosion happened at over 13k feet he reckoned it was out of reach. There are conspiracy theories that suspect a USN SAM. Seems like an absurd number of people to keep quiet though.
Or the center fuel tank exploded due to jet fuel vapors and a lack of a nitrogen inerting system (which military jets had at that time and now all civilian airliners have).

You can look up the transitioning on your energy provider's website.

Do you not pay any attention at all to your own energy bills, etc?
80% carbon free in less than a decade, and 100% by 2050.

Nice work Colorado!

When complete, we will achieve nearly 55% renewable energy on our power grid by 2026, and reduce carbon emissions by about 60% from 2005 levels—all while keeping customer bills low.

In 2021, we will prepare to take the next step—toward 80% less carbon by 2030—when we present our 2021 Electric Resource Plan and Clean Energy Plan to regulators and stakeholders. Find out what’s coming at Our Energy Future: Destination 2030 (external link).

Learn how we’re moving toward 100% carbon-free energy for our customers by 2050, and keeping Colorado at the forefront of the clean energy transition, in our Corporate Responsibility Report.

Abramovitch just transferred (yeah right) ownership of one of his firms - “NORMA” -to a fellow Russian who is not sanctioned.
Abramovitch is now in Israel. I wonder how much money he’s paying them.
He is now in Moscow. Flew there from Tel Aviv via Istanbul Monday night. Arrived in Moscow at about 3AM local time Tuesday.

Private jet?
I wonder why - it would seem to me he’s better off anywhere but Moscow, unless the Israelis have told him he’s become persona non grata?

A US House member on CNN claims that the deadly S300 system is now in Ukraine. This will allow higher targets to be hit. And of course, ironically, it is made by Russia.

Russia-Israel_Horo1.jpg

WIKI - The S-300 (NATO reporting name SA-10 Grumble) is a series of initially Soviet and later Russian long range surface-to-air missile systems produced by NPO Almaz, based on the initial S-300P version. The S-300 system was developed to defend against aircraft and cruise missiles for the Soviet Air Defence Forces. Subsequent variations were developed to intercept ballistic missiles. The S-300 system was first deployed by the Soviet Union in 1979, designed for the air defence of large industrial and administrative facilities, military bases and control of airspace against enemy strike aircraft. The system is fully automated, though manual observation and operation are also possible.[3][5] Components may be near the central command post, or as distant as 40 km. Each radar provides target designation for the central command post. The command post compares the data received from the targeting radars up to 80 km apart, filtering false targets. The central command post features both active and passive target detection modes.[6][7]
Well, crap - Jim Sciutto @jimsciutto · 1h Check that: @RepMcCaul was referring to existing S-300 systems already there, not newly-supplied ones. twitter.com/jimsciutto/sta…

Youtube finally took the RT english live stream off the air. I'm now more fearful of what they're telling people than I was when I could see for myself. It was reminiscent of watching Baghdad Bob during the gulf War, comedy.

I'm ok with the decision, the risk someone might actually believe what they see on RT is greater than my need to be entertained.

Funny. Sort of like how the Russian government transferred its formerly state owned industries to its friends.

Earth to Roman: congratulations, you just got sanctions extended to your friend.

Looks like Putin is trying to rally internal support. Must be more important than Ukrainian Jewish Nazis😂.

Yeah. Joe must need an extra shot this morning.

Or, like Condoleezza Rice stated, maybe he's working on unifying and upping the West's response.

She outright stated that he had gotten Western Europe and NATO more united than she thought would ever be possible after the Cold War. Is that important to you?

There are reports that a FOURTH Russian general has been killed.
Putin sent twenty generals into Ukraine. The loss of nearly 20% of them in three weeks should be of grave concern in the Kremlin.
Also some of the Russian POW’s captured have told CNN that when they return home Putin will be a target after they spread the truth about what’s really happening.
By then the food shortages and isolation will have hit home especially with those under the age of 40, who have been accustomed to plenty of food and Western goods.

She’s being nice. The cold reality of what Putin has done is what finally united them.

Unless those are the generals who pose a threat to Putin, politically and physically.

Then, this is a "feature", not a "bug"...

Let’s assume there’s some sort of compromise that allows Putin to save face and preserves Ukraine as a truly independent nation.

How quickly does Russia get to rejoin the world? I’m thinking they are a pariah state for some time. At least as long as Putin is alive.

Thoughts?
When the Russians have made Ukraine whole again. Then they can come back inside.

Got to see Joe's message a bit ago. I thought he did great, but then he refused questions and meekly turned his back and walked off stage.

That was disappointing.

She's not a diplomat.

Nor does she have any reason to give Biden any "pats on the back".
She’s being diplomatic...and if she doesn’t say what 50% of Americans really think about the man, she will continue to be contacted by most of the press to add her voice to the conversation.
I’m not going to argue with you today. Find another daily target to annoy.

I am aware of both the SA systems and S-300's and S-400's. India fields them. They (India) are replacing all the SA systems because they are how you say crap. More propellant doesn't mean better engagement. Many of the SA systems were conceived in the 1950's and fielded in the 1960's.

Yep. Almost entirely, Russian military hardware is vastly overrated. What they do have that’s relatively “good,” is in such small quantities that it’s not a serious threat.
