This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Just saw this and wanted to point out, doing this will beat up all the occupants of the turret. The gunned has his face against the sight (gunners primary sight in an M1) and it just smashed against it, the commander just bashed his face into a sight or radio and the loader just kissed the breech block. Probably teeth on the floor and a broken nose or two.

Their Ukraine coverage from about 4pm EST to whenever Don Lemon comes on is pretty good. Lots of boots on the ground and good stories. They have Fareed, reputable generals, and US and UN officials.
Can’t stand Lemon. He is so fake and his faux sincerity gives me the heebie jeebies.

You know Poland is just itching to get in this one
I don’t think they are. They’ve suddenly got 2 million refugees of the 3.5 who’ve fled Ukraine and their hands are full at the moment.
I will say their military is well ready, they have a long bitter experience with the Russkies, and the Russians know it. They’ve bitten off more than they planned for in Ukraine and Poland coming in on their flank would be a really bad day for Pooty.

Who is Candace Owens? Never heard of her so I looked her up and she is a conservative talk show host. What has she accomplished in life where anyone should care what she says?

Here is an interesting story. Aviation buffs have noticed US F-35s flying in Poland without their radar reflectors on. As I understand it in normal times the somewhat stealthy jets have four reflectors on them to aid other planes in seeing them on radar, and it helps to confuse other countries who are trying to track their profile.
Also, I remember a few weeks ago that the US had rotated F-35s into Germany from Hill AFB in Utah, so these must be them. They are apparently flying out of Spangle-something in Germany. I did a little satellite view to get the lay of the base to see how big, and how we could surge jets in, and I noticed a town named Binsfield on the southern edge of the base. Is that how our very own @binsfeldcyhawk2 got his handle?
Although, he hasn't posted since the bot slaughter began, so...

Yes….I lived in Binsfeld for about 12 years….

I was in Germany the last 3 weeks and for some reason Rivals is blocked over there. Weird….could access 247 but not rivals….

Probably a good thing so I didn’t have to witness Thursday’s game thread….scared to look.

F-16’s are stationed at Spangdahlem but F-35’s have been deployed there…

I live under the landing/takeoff for NAS - Jax and the air traffic has been interesting these last few weeks. P-3’s are very busy over this last ten days. Those are the sub hunters. They’re not the usual touch and go traffic that Naval Reserve pilots do on the weekends.
It’s always been rumored that our Red October buddies like to cruise offshore. Maybe they’re just checking out our Spring Break coeds? 🤔 up telescopes!😬
P-3’s are older but they are stayin’ alive.

Coming back from lunch on Thursday I heard an odd propeller aircraft sound. My office complex is in Southwood, and under approach to the TLH airport.
It was a AC-130J, turning off the base leg right over our building, close enough to the ground you easily make out the barrels bristling from the side. Those curved blades sound different than the old C-130s.

The J is the newer version of the C-130 H model that came out in 1966.

Well….one of those regrets in life. 😕

Way back in 2006 I actually rooted for the clowns a bit….when they weren’t playing the Hawks. Being stationed overseas since 1988 I didn’t get to see the Hawks on AFN very often so if either team was on I was rooting for both…

Anyway, after finding cyclone fanatic I had my hatred for the clowns renewed but never went back to change the username. Just a cross I have to bare 🥺
