This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

She is a horrible human being who got completely owned yesterday on Twitter by Dasani.
Superficial with zero depth too. Attractive and stays on message. Not a Joe Rogan fan. But he had Candace on and discussed environmental issues with her. Gave Candace fact after fact and literally would not waiver off the talking points or show any intellectual curiosity.

NATO could start bombing Russian forces immediately. It'd be like a turkey shoot.

That being said, it's unlikely to happen now.

No, no it would not be a turkey shoot. We would immediately be engaged by a large, complex system of anti-aircraft missiles. Much of that is in Russia or Belarus. We would need a comprehensive suppression campaign on anything on Ukrainian soil, and counter measures for the rest. We'd be able to do nothing about the ALCMs and rockets being launched from Russian airspace. Any action would require more jets to be deployed from the US, and coordination with all of our allies. It would also immediately cost US lives.
There needs to be popular support for that in the US populace, and from Congress. They need to vote on that. In a cold, calculated way, if I am President Biden I am making Mitch and Kevin go on record as supporting me in deploying US forces into Ukraine.

Two words: Predator Drones.

They'd annihilate the Russian tanks, trucks, etc. in Ukraine.

(I'm not proposing that NATO invade Russia or Belarus.)

There are already several NATO soldier groups in East Poland right now. They seem eager to get in there and fight.
Doubtful. Running a few brigades over the border would do nothing. A meaningful operation would require flatbed train cars with heavy equipment rolling out of places like Fort Hood, Fort Sill, Fort Stewart... All to ports for deployment. Reservists would need to be called up for support roles or you'd see US forces standing around waiting for fuel to arrive, or broken down US trucks on the sides of roads.

I’d rather not get involved in a shooting war with the Russians which a “no fly” zone would turn into. They have 6000 nukes. No need to flirt with Armageddon over Ukraine IMO

Who is Candace Owens? Never heard of her so I looked her up and she is a conservative talk show host. What has she accomplished in life where anyone should care what she says?
She may or may not be a crazy person. She did recognize a market that was ripe to be exploited, and has made a lot of money doing so.

NATO commander basically says we don't give a crap about Ukraine-Russia threatening us with nuclear war is too scary.

Any idea on the amount of equipment we actually keep in the strategic reserve in Europe? I saw it was being deployed for the first time. Is it enough for a division? I thought the point of it was to allow the troops to be flown in and have equipment on site ready to go.

But what happens if they attack Poland and use the same threat? Nukes are just an excuse for the West to not get too involved and so to sacrifice Ukraine. Putin has already called the supply of arms, as well as the sanctions, declarations of war.
If he wants to end the world he already has his reasons.

Nothing. But she has 3 million followers. The world of social media influencers and the dark money that fund them

3m followers is significant. Imagine her tweets, fb and instagram posts being forwarded by those 3m followers.

Toni Lauren has 1.7m followers and Ben Shapiro has 3.8.

She is being paid right now is to tarnish Zelensky’s reputation and popularity post by post. I really hope it backfires on her.

You either do it now, or you do it later.

Because if Putin and his oligarchs are further emboldened, they'll keep pushing it.
Only, next time, they might actually have overthrown a few NATO democracies with "other Trumps", and we won't be as lucky to have leadership that can unite the West.

And, do you think Putin would just accept the introduction of US assets onto the battlefield and not strike back at US forces in Poland or Romania? That’s exactly what he wants right now. A wider war and the excuse to say the US is attacking Russia. Any US involvement needs to be under the umbrella of NATO, or the UN. No unilateral actions.

This is all Putin. The oligarchs are integral to the kleptocracy but do not support him. All of this has been very bad for them. And, they have no political power. What the world needs is an uprising in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Well….one of those regrets in life. 😕

Way back in 2006 I actually rooted for the clowns a bit….when they weren’t playing the Hawks. Being stationed overseas since 1988 I didn’t get to see the Hawks on AFN very often so if either team was on I was rooting for both…

Anyway, after finding cyclone fanatic I had my hatred for the clowns renewed but never went back to change the username. Just a cross I have to bare 🥺
A nekkid cross? WOB

I found several articles, but no specific breakdown of the equipment. I guess whatever an armored combat brigade needs for starters. 8000 or so soldiers are being deployed from the US. Nice to see just how much planning goes into this stuff, the continuing training and deployments, and the foresight of President Obama to green light much of this.
