Beseda along with his deputy had been placed under house arrest in March, Soldatov had previously said, as officials from investigated whether moles had buried into Russia's spy agencies and leaked intelligence on Russia's invasion and the planning behind it.

It’s apparent that the Russians have transitioned to a terror campaign as their military efforts have failed. Random, mass killings of civilians. Wholesale efforts to deny food and medical supplies to civilians. The question is this purely anger and retribution for the damage to Russia’s prestige, or an effort to coerce Zelensky to accept a deal to end the slaughter?
