This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

58,200 Americans died during the 10-year Vietnam war. That comes to almost 16 U.S. U.S. soldiers a day that gave their lives. Sounds unbelievable now.

7,058 U.S. Service Members died post 9/11 during our 20 years in Iraq and Afghanistan. We tragically lost an average of one soldier a day.

Russia has lost an estimated 30,000-40,000 soldiers since February 24th. (166 days). That comes to an average of 181 to 244 Russian soldiers killed per day since the start of the war. But the people of Russia don’t seem to give a sh*t….Unbelievable!!
Even more crazy is when you factor in Russian population being 44% of US. Losing 44k Russian soldiers would hit like the US losing 100k

So if the US lost the same number of soldiers per day, on the same percentage of population basis, it would be roughly the equivalent of 400-550 US Soldiers killed every day since February 24th.

Russia is a 3rd World evil country.

Absolutely astounding number to think about. There is 0% chance the American public would stand for this. I can't fathom living in a nation like Russia.

I don’t think we should take that last sentence at face value. The impact on of decades/lifetime long propaganda and fear of speaking out, sham elections, etc. We can’t make much of the sentiments of the “average Russian” so to speak.

This appears to be another angle of the conscripts barracks burning.

"Near Moscow, the military unit of the air defense of the Russian capital is burning."

As many as 27 million Soviets lost their lives, with as many as 11.4 million military deaths joined by up to 10 million civilian deaths due to military activity and an additional 8 million to 9 million deaths due to famine and disease.

According to Ivlev, Soviet State Planning Committee documents put the Soviet population at 205 million in June 1941 and 169.8 million for June 1945. Taking into account the 17.6 million births and 10.3 million natural deaths, leaving almost 42 million in war-related losses according to his research. T

Just like their masters' propaganda.

"The Belaruski Hayun and Flagshtok Telegram channels quoted witnesses on August 11 as saying at least eight blasts were heard and flashes were seen near the Zyabrovka military airport in the southeastern Homel region of Belarus overnight. The base is some 30 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

The Belarusian Defense Ministry said in a statement that at 11 p.m. on August 10, the engine of a military vehicle caught fire and "measures to extinguish the fire were undertaken," adding there were no casualties."

More bad news for Russia's air force.

WTF Russia. You suck.

Russia shouldn't be using the reactor as a shield and it makes one wonder why they would be shelling something that they control. Are they trying to scare the West with a nuclear disaster and/or Ukraine is trying to hit the targets they see as safe outside of the buildings.

Culturally, they have learned to accept it:

World War II casualties of the Soviet Union from all related causes were over 20,000,000, both civilians and military, although the statistics vary to a great extent largely because these figures are currently disputed. During the Soviet era information on casualties was considered top secret, later in the Glasnost period information on Soviet World War II casualties was published. In 1993 a study by the Russian Academy of Sciences estimated total Soviet population losses due the war at 26.6 million,[1][2][3] including military dead of 8.7 million calculated by the Russian Ministry of Defense.[4] These figures have been accepted by most historians outside of Russia. However the figure of 8.7 million military dead has been disputed by some historians in Russia because it is in conflict with the official database of the Central Defense Ministry Archive (CDMA) which lists the names of roughly 14 million dead and missing servicemen.[5] Some independent researchers in Russia have put total losses in the war, both civilians and military, at over 40 million.[6][7] This article covers the details of the Russian government sources as well as a presentation of sources disputing these figures.

If Belarus officially joins the fight, I wonder what Poland does...

Did everyone see that a Russian satellite that just went up, is in practically the same orbit as one of ours. Our military is concerned about what it might do though it is possible it is only trying to get details on our version. (They have killer satellites but using one would be a major escalation.)

(EDITED)
Have they forgotten that we now have SPACE FORCE? I don't think they're ready for that escalation. :)

If Belarus goes in, then they need to launch quite a few Himars at them and then also see if Poland can get involved directly. Maybe Poland doesn't go into Ukraine, but instead invades Belarus directly. Although that's just the kind of action that does lead to world war... Although you have to wonder just how much of the world is willing to get involved on Russia's behalf. I mean I don't really worry about Iran, North Korea, and Belarus becoming a major faction of danger.

Russia seems to be an extremely racist society. The only people that matter are the pure Russians who live in Moscow. The majority of the troops in this war are from ethnic groups pulled from minority communities in the rural areas. The people of Moscow don't care if non-Russians who are beneath them are dying in major numbers. The uprising inside Russia will only happen once the people inside Moscow start to feel the bight, which is why the visa restrictions is such a good way of pushing back.

If they just used their air force on Belarusians forces in Urkaine, I think it could put and end to an invasion quickly.
