I'm a little disappointed it wasn't attacked overnight as the Russians were said to have feared.
These orcs are preaching to the wrong choir.
Heart really goes out to them
I figure that the timing will be key. Maybe during a procession of orc leadership….I'm a little disappointed it wasn't attacked overnight as the Russians were said to have feared.
Here’s a counter thought. What if Russia won’t cut off Germany because to do so would back it into a corner and forcing it to, out of national security interests, go all in with all of its assets to eliminate Russia in Ukraine, triggering floodgates with Poland as well.If Germany gave tanks (and built more like the SPs they have promised) to Ukraine but kept buying gas (assuming Russia could live with a little more than they are now) would it be worth it all parties-Ukraine, Germany and Russia...just pondering.
Smart move here:

The move, which was prompted by the mounting economic war with Russia, marks the first departure from a two-decade policy to abandon nuclear energy.www.wsj.com
Russia needs to sell gas to the Germans. They cannot get by with just China and India as primary customers. For one thing, those two have figured out that they can squeeze Russia on pricing. Here’s a counter thought. If the end game is to totally oust the orcs, the repair hub and longer range gear may push them over the finish line. Tough news about the officer corps, but that makes sense. It has been a grind that not many could have foreseen being as favorable to Ukraine as it has so been so far.Good segment on CNN this morning with Alexander VIndman, and a retired general who are on the ground in Ukraine. They are there trying to work with the Ukrainian government to ease logistics issues, and to see what they need the most. Vindman said he was shocked to see the depletion rate of lieutenants and captains in the Ukrainian military. Their officer corps, especially front line officers have been severely depleted. Both men talked about the challenges of logistics, and maintenance of the weaponry pouring in. The Western tech has given a boost to Ukraine, but they do not have the dedicated support corps that the US has. If something breaks, it has to be loaded up and taken to Poland in most cases. Both men suggested it's time for a Western backed logistics and repair hub in Ukraine, staffed with Western contractors who know how to fix the stuff we've sent over. Vindman was pretty vocal about it being time for longer range weaponry to be sent in. Instead of the max range 80km rockets, we need to look at the 300km stuff, and getting training with F-16s and F-15s going.
I've been hoping that too but we can't even get the Germans to stop Russian tourism! Here’s a counter thought. What if Russia won’t cut off Germany because to do so would back it into a corner and forcing it to, out of national security interests, go all in with all of its assets to eliminate Russia in Ukraine, triggering floodgates with Poland as well.
The thing is, we won't let it happen. If Russia goes after NATO nations, their invading forces will be liquidated by us and the brits, Poland, etc. Give Ukraine what you have.It is possible they sincerely are afraid they may need them soon themselves but helping Ukraine win would make that moot.
It is kind of handy now to have all of our bases in Europe, despite urges of many to close them over the years.Destabilizing the Balkans would be incredibly dumb, but If Putin and Serbia want to do this, then let’s roll and get on with it.
It sure seems like the world is itching for a fight….and the last time we tried to stay out of it we learned that doesn’t work to well…
hopefully these people are lining up to be deported?
Good point but not sure Poland feels like helping Germany these daysThe thing is, we won't let it happen. If Russia goes after NATO nations, their invading forces will be liquidated by us and the brits, Poland, etc. Give Ukraine what you have.
Fair point. I was thinking they would follow suit once the NATO gloves were off.Good point but not sure Poland feels like helping Germany these days
Much respect for that cat. He and Zelensky are both awe inspiring. True giants of our time. This guy has to be one of the most brave men on the planet. It is a wonder the Russians have not murdered him yet. Too much international pushback / consequences if the Putin regime murders another political dissident / opponent?
