This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Have been thinking about the river being a “wall” to the Russian retreat if bridges and pontoon bridges disabled by Ukraine.

If the offensive is successful, is the possibility of thousands of Russian soldiers surrendering a possibility? And if so, what do you do with them?
If Russia provides an example, lock them in a building, light it on fire burning them alive, and then blame Russia for killing its own captured soldiers.

Are they really this stupid? I do get the sense that something big is going down due to them wanting to quiet the news coming out. I hope this means they are in the process of negotiation or even now processing a massive surrender. Putin won't survive very long if 20K Russian troops or more just surrender to be paraded around for all the world to see.

I wonder if a 3rd nation would have to take that many prisoners off of Ukraine's hands. It will probably take some time-days if not weeks for Russia to capitulate unless this offensive is much more aggressive than any in the past.
I did see that the 1st Tank Brigade, the outfit that gained fame chasing the Russians from Kiev was on the southern front now:)
