This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

" Energy analysts said it was not clear who would stand to benefit from the leaks at a time when neither line was operational. But some suspect a possible connection to the planned start-up of a new gas pipeline link between Norway — now Europe’s biggest supplier of gas — and Poland. Frederiksen is in Poland for the opening ceremony of the pipeline, which will deliver Norwegian supplies through Denmark to Poland for the first time. “The leak on Nord Stream 2 is very close to the new Baltic Pipe that will bring Norwegian gas to Poland for the first time . . . so there’s some heavy symbolism,” said Tom Marzec-Manser, at energy consultancy ICIS. “For EU gas imports it’s a new dawn for Norway and twilight for Russia.”

"The service enterprise of the joint-stock company "Ukrtransgaz" carries out the combination of MT-LB armored personnel carriers with MT-12 guns It is planned to manufacture a batch of similar 100-mm self-propelled artillery installations"

2A19 or T-12 is a Soviet smoothbore 100-mm anti-tank gun, which served as the primary towed anti-tank artillery in the Soviet and Bulgarian armies from the early 1960s to the late 1980s. Wikipedia

Perhaps Polish provocateurs potentially punctured Putin’s pipeline!?!

Swedish broadcaster SVT reported that the Swedish National Seismic Network detected two underwater explosions near the Nord Stream pipeline system on Monday.

"One of the explosions had a magnitude of 2.3, and was registered at as many as 30 measuring stations in southern Sweden," SVT said.
Bjorn Lund, a professor in seismology and director of the Swedish National Seismic Network, said these two seismic events were explosions.

Swedish daily newspaper Aftonbaldet quoted the Swedish Defense Force's chief of operations, Michael Claesson, who said it's not ruled out that there's a connection to the gas leaks and Russia's mobilization last week.

Claesson then told the paper that the incident was a "military matter."

Some form of that is probably happening - at least some transfer of knowledge regarding our weapons to prep for transfer of weapons…
Agree. I'd bet American equipment has been repainted after being transferred perhaps through Poland and is being used by Ukraine.

The WH has been magnificent in all their behind the scenes activity from some of the stuff we've heard from Zelenske.

Yarolslav Trofimov damn well better win the Pulitzer for breaking reporting this year --- he is the best on the ground in Ukraine. Amazing. And whoever is shooting pics for WSJ should win as well. Some of the best, bravest journalism I have ever seen.

Until the Ukraine offensive, the Russian bloggers would brag about the "cauldrons" that would soon envelop the Ukranian army. To me it sure looks like Ukraine is one village away from trapping a very large enemy force as this illustrates. Now that's a cauldron!

The north and south ends will soon be pinched off trapping them with their backs to the wide river depicted.

"Azerbaijan's ruling elite operated a secret $2.8bn (£2.2bn) slush fund for two years to pay off European politicians and make luxury purchases, an investigation suggests.
The money was allegedly channelled through four UK-based opaque companies.
People said to have been paid include European politicians who adopted a favourable attitude to the government.
There is no suggestion that all the recipients were aware of the original source of the money, the report said."

In one sense, I feel sympathy for all the poorly trained Russians being sent to fight.

But in the big picture, they're guilty by association. Hopefully, the sabotage, in fighting, killing their own commanders, and desertion become more frequent.

I'm optimistic Vlad is out of power by 2023.
That is where I am. These men need to rebel but there is such a machine in place to sniff out and kill dissenters, they really cannot get critical mass. Their best option is to surrender when they have a chance. If they do not surrender, I feel a bit like judge smails - I don’t necessarily want Ukraine to kill them before they are fully indoctrinated, but I feel Ukraine owes it to them.

Of course it is fake but it is amazing what they can do these days. Europe will not think it funny like I did.
