This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

One of our experts on here mentioned how difficult it would be to attack Ukraine from Belarus. So I wonder if Russia is hurting themselves if they are sending equipment there which might be more effective on an existing front. (And I too hope one of the West nations will come in if Belarus attacks.)

Would be pretty terrible business to not utilize your assets for exposure/pressure wouldn't it?
He just really needs to stop being a douche and hire a good PR person to at least craft his twitter posts. I truly don't get why someone this intelligent (Supposedly) can't grasp those most basics. Him going to twitter and whining just makes everyone think of him like Trump. Hire a good PR firm to put out press/craft your twitter posts/work on your behalf and you'd already have what you want... But he'd rather just whine on twitter and make baseless accusations when things don't go his way.

If he didn't think and act like he was the smartest person in the room and had just a bit of self-awareness he'd still be held high. But he's impulsive and acts like a toddler when he doesn't get his way.

FWIW-this is a tabloid.

Putin in crisis as 'two top officials defect and reveal more Russian war crimes'

More evidence of panic in Moscow's key military organisations emerged tonight with claims that two high-level officials have defected, and are revealing further details of Russian war crimes and secret operations in Ukraine.

But tonight senior sources in Crimea warned that Russia remained uncowed, and was preparing to authorise the use of chemical weapons as part of a new offensive which will coincide with November’s G20 summit in Bali.

A female FSB intelligence officer with operational information of Russian troops movements and a high ranking mercenary with the Putin-supporting Wagner paramilitary group are now said to have reached safe exile in France, where they have sought political asylum.

Evidence from the two defectors will both help to build up the dossier of war crimes against Vladimir Putin’s war machine and help Ukrainian forces in their counter-offensive in Donbas, said Russian human rights activist Vladimir Osechkin who revealed the defections.

The female intelligence officer has reportedly brought “serious insider information” relating to the invasion of Ukraine, counterintelligence and the Defence Ministry, while also revealing details of “corruption schemes of the FSB” - the Russian counterintelligence agency once headed by Vladimir Putin.

In the meantime, Russian police have launched a murder investigation after the body of military commissar Lt-Col Roman Malyk, 49, was found near the fence of his home in a village in the Primorsky region of Russia.

Then maybe it's time for the UN to be done away with. This is an absolute joke.
I think the UN is very good at a few things...humanitarian relief probably being chief amongst those things.

As far as solving conflicts...they're pretty powerless because the permanent Security Council members have a veto....doesn't seem like there's any conflict that could arise that at least one of the members doesn't have a vested interest in opposing action.

Don't know how that gets solved. Could do away with the security council and just have a vote from all member nations but I think that'd have it's own problems.

Longest version attached (second one)-sounds like the aircraft was carrying ammo, at least it sounds like stuff cooking off.
