Basically a loss that confirms this group was way over-hyped. This will be a good team and a fun season, it's just more fun when it's season that starts with more normal expectations, not having having to go through the resetting of expectations.
This was the type of loss many of us feared after Gonzaga.....

They are fun team to watch when Garza is dominating and their shooters are hitting 3pt shots but they are not built to grind their way to conference title because Fran doesn't value defense.
I don't think Fran is the right coach to get the most out of this team, but he did bring in Garza who is putting up POY stats.

I just want Iowa to do well in the B1G, grow, and evolve and hit the tourney as a strong unit. I would love for Iowa to go undefeated, but we dont have that Zaga conference schedule. A loss is available any game this season. Should make us tough come the tourney.
The earth isn't falling. We will lose more games. Last year, the team that won the Big 10 title had 6 losses.
They are a fun team when other teams don't double and triple Garza and force him to maybe pass it to the open guy who is either somehow magically unable to get a clean open look off.....or is Nunge, and we don't want him to take that open look............
Because when they just let Garza play 1v1, we are unbeatable.
