Here is the break down of the Iowa roster by graduating class. It's interesting that the 2014 (Fran's first recruiting class) and 2015 graduating classes each had 5 departures.
The 2020 graduating class, as of now, is set to have 6 departures.
This year, with Dale Jones out for the season, Fran has 10 scholarship players and one walk on available. He appears to trust his 4 seniors and 1 junior and will give spot minutes to Brady, Nick Baer, Dom Uhl, and Wagner (but on the road, maybe not).
Next year is where I worry. Jok is the only returning starter. Who is our point guard? Williams? Will Dale Jones and Uhl start? Who will be the other? Wagner? Maybe Ellingson will start? Baer will be a good back up. Fleming, Hutton, and Moss will need to step up as will Tyler Cook. This will be one big puzzle for Fran.
If you were to guess, who would be the staring 5 next year? We have just one schollie available for the 2021 graduating class; that has to go to a PG, correct?
