Agree on Iraq. And still is sending 20 mil for a children’s show for a country ruled by a group that hates us is a massive wast still even if it is a small percentage.
Look at why they are doing these cuts. It’s falling in line with the 3-3-3 plan presented by Bessent. A very dumbed down version of what they are thinking but Their theory is cutting the deficit will in turn lower the 10 year and lower interest rates to borrow massive amount of money. Even if they don’t give tax cuts to the wealthy through the reconciliation budget bill (I think they will but not on the face of the proposals) they are pushing to give lower interest to borrow on massive amounts for these Richard’s.
For the oligarchs, they have always ruled us. It’s just a transfer from one group to another. The oligarchs since Reagan within the government and creating these NGOs have created this massive inequality. Media oligarchs have been partnering with government since Ted Turner created CNN. The one silver lining in the current new oligarch takeover is that it’s all out in the open compared to behind the scenes.

Probably been mentioned before, but a lot of CIA spending was funneled through USAID.
There is never ever any context with any of these "waste" stories.
USAID is/was an agency where the total budget doesn't even count as pocket change when compared to the overall budget, there's no savings there even if you eliminate the entire budget, and it was extremely important as a soft power entity for the United States. Way way way more bang for the buck then probably most agencies.
And these idiots are eliminating it. As part of a scam cover for Elon Musk to burrow himself and his operatives into the critical funding and monetary functions of the government.

That's a lot of $$$. How much of $3.5 billion was used to launch Starlink satellites used by Ukraine in the war against Russia? I haven't looked to see what the Biden admin awarded SPaceX or what those contracts were for.SpaceX received over 3.5 billion dollars in government contracts last year alone.

It's true that I'm jumping the gun on the "fraud" portion. Im of the belief the reason the funds were approved was they came with a little "two for me one for you" action.
There is 1 career where you can go in worth 1 million, make 200k for 30 years and retire worth 20 million. I'm of the belief we are seeing the "how".

Likely things that some or a lot of people agree with and voted to fund, similar to many of the other much less expensive programs beeing discussed. All of which I personally think should be discussed and fairly criticized.
The point is Musk is in an entirely unique position of unvetted and unregulated authority, has an almost unfathomable amount of potential conflicts of interest that dwarf in scale the "waste" he is spamming on his own dubious media platform and has shown himself to be petty, vindictive and dishonest.
The access and power given to this single person is increadibly risky and enormously dangerous.

This type of spending is featured in regular segments of conservative talk radio across the country. There is nothing new about how this is being discovered or how it's being presented. The only novel aspect is how many are like you and are only now being made aware. The next step is to discover that all of this sh!t is and has been voted on by Congress(usually in a bipartisan agreement).

This is a superb post. My grandparents were born in the 1880's and 1890's (the Eisenhower generation) and it wasn't until that cohort started dying out in the 1960's and 1970's that the real attack on progressive taxation and the modern administrative/regulatory state began.
Basically all the people that remembered what it was like in the before times had to be gone before any real attempt could be made to tear it all down by the oligarch class.
They've already mostly succeeded in dismantling the progressive taxation component of the political economy that came out of that era. An ongoing disaster that they then use to justify the spending cuts.
These idiots don't get what they're tampering with, they take all the amenities of modern 1st world life for granted and give absolutely zero credit for that to the government.
