I'd prefer it be done out in the open with discussion about how the money is being used in each case. I'm sure there is waste, but at the same time I'm sure there are also very worthwhile programs being funded as well. I'd like more transparency by Musk and his team, not just attention grabbing tweets.

They have the House, Senate, and Presidency now. They have all the power to make changes. Even if they chose to eliminate everything Musk has been cutting, I'd prefer it be done by elected representatives.

The last time anything like this happened (on a smaller scale) was when there was a review of military bases and dozens of closures were made. The screaming and whining then was huge. Lots of bases that weren’t needed dating from WWII did get shuttered, but as always happens some bases stayed open anyway in some states because Senator Bigwig was too powerful to cross.

You should ask yourself, why do all of the things they release seem to fit their taking points. We are under a disinformation assault right now.
