Tom Osborne=Art Briles??

You are Iowa State. Iowa is your big brother. The Iowa game is your super bowl.

That's great you get up for us like ISU does. The bottom line is, the nation agrees that Iowa is far above Nebraska. FIVE top 10 finishes in the last decade for Iowa to ZERO for Nebraska.

Keep telling yourself that. Maybe people outside of Iowa will start believing it too someday.

"The most publicized was tailback Lawrence Phillips' assault of his former girlfriend, but there were others. Riley Washington, a reserve wingback, was charged with second-degree murder in a case still pending. Tyrone Williams was charged with shooting a gun at a moving car two years ago. Defensive tackle Christian Peter had several altercations with women, as reported on an episode of "48 Hours" that used the Huskers' problems as a vehicle for debating sports and violence."

I especially like that Sports Illustrated said Osborne locked the gun in his desk so the cops couldn't find it. Complete unadulterated BS. Osborne wasn't even involved with holding the gun.

”The information that came out during Kevin's Steele's (LB coach at the time) defamation action against Gary Lacey (Lincoln Police Chief) established that both the LPD and the UNL police knew where the gun was within minutes of Williams turning it over to Steele. The police officer that Steele spoke with that early morning asked him to hold onto it until it could be retrieved by the police. Out of an abundance of caution Steele called the UNL police immediately after hanging up with the LPD to tell them that he had a gun on campus. The only issue came when a detective showed up to pick up the gun a couple of days later, only to find that Steele was out of town collecting signed LOI's (common practice back then; the Williams' shooting occurred over the night of 1/31-2/1/94) and the cabinet/desk holding the gun was locked (the evidence never was clear whether the gun was in a cabinet or desk drawer). The only other person who had a key was a secretary who was away from her desk when the detective arrived. The detective was so concerned about retrieving the gun that he didn't bother to wait for the secretary to return, but left and came back a couple of days later and retrieved the gun then."

Obviously all the other coaches in the country and the national media who vote in the polls think Iowa is better than Nebraska. And have for many years

Nope what counts is anything before 2002. Skirt fan will tell you just ask them.

Try again. Recordable DVD players were not available until the early 2000's just like I said.

Ya know...it's OK to just throw in a paragraph or two, instead of responding to yourself all afternoon. Give it a try, it really works.

So..Nebraska and Minnesota have won multiple national titles and are equivalent. I guess that makes Iowa and Rice equivalent.

The skirts are as relevant as Minnesota, good job skirt fan. Give us some more of your fantastic football knowledge won't you? Always good for a laugh.

Not really Iowa has five top 10 finishes since 2002. I don't think rice can claim that. But yeah Minnesota and Nebraska are about equally as relevant as each other during that same time period

Not recordable DVD's. Hoosker Duh is entertaining when he dazzles us with his in depth football knowledge.

Yes Virginia, recordable DVDs came into play in '99, but regardless, we played in the national title game in '01, so I'm pretty sure we could record that game on a DVD. So... wrong again, Vinchenzo.

So...from here on out I'll call you the Owls. 120 or so years of football...with nothing to speak of on a national level. Bravo!

Good point. Both Minnie and Debbie "won" 5-6 Mythical National Championships last century, while neither has even won a bcs-level bowl game this century. Pretty equivalent programs.

Now Iowa has been to 2 Oranges and a Rose in the past 15 years...Rice? Not so much. If it wasn't for your Knebraska Ejukashun, you would realize that a closer equivalent for Rice would be ISU.

Skirt fan can't read the link. No wonder NNebraska was tossed from the AAU. Can you at least give us more of your expert football analysis? Always good for a laugh.

Is there a link for 1999? In the one provided previously it indicated 2003. For your sake I hope so, otherwise you are getting housed by Herky, ouch.

Yeah, like you should be concerned with the AAU with your community college background.

Thanks for the reminder. Doesn't ISU have a winning record against Iowa over the last 10 years or so?

Comparing Nebraska's NCs to Minnesota's is silly. Nebraska won NCs in the 1990s. Minnesota on the other hand...what...1930s or 40s? You know, back when Army and Navy were football powerhouses.

"When the standalone DVD recorder first appeared on the Japanese consumer market in 1999, these early units were very expensive, costing between $2500 and $4000 USD."

I tip my hat to you, you lived up to the standards of this board, spending copious amounts of money to head to Japan to buy a very expensive piece of equipment to burn your vhs tapes to DVDs, that is of course you had everything in the right format.

I don't think you understand very well. Once they release something in Japan, it's only a matter of weeks before it's also available in the US. And who says someone wouldn't buy something if they were a tekkie and were visiting Japan. The point is... Herky is wrong for the umpteenth time.

Yet they were not available in the US until 2003. Oh and at $2500-$4000 they are never for purchase by skirt fans such as yourself. That's a half years pay.

NNebraska still isn't relevant.

You're as stupid as the day is long. 4 years from being introduced in Japan to being released in the US?? Good lord you are dense.

I'm not replying to any of your posts in particular but your level of stupid is damn near approaching gilliganesque. I'm not sure if your trolling people that bad by posting straight stupidity or if you have some mental illness.

Just read the link NNebraska fan. Others could. Or is that something too far beyond the NNebraska educational system.
