I tend to overanalyze, but searching for meaning and mainly historical comparisons within the KF era, I stumbled upon an interesting stat.
The PSU/Purdue/Wisc 3 game stretch may* be the second-toughest three-game stretch in the KF era. Not factoring in road games within other three-game stretches, and not weighted for the quality of the Iowa team itself - but strictly using one factor [opponent Sagarin Rating] at the end of the year.

- 2016 - Wisc(9)/PSU(13)/Mich(3) - 8avg [1-2] finished 2-1
- 2021 - PSU(11)/Purdue(27)/Wisc(9) - 15avg [1-2] then 1-0 ??? - *Current Sagarin Rating*
- 2003 - MSU(34)/Mich(8)/OSU(11) - 18avg [1-2] then 5-1
- Most others are mid to high 20's/30's for other 3 game stretches. Rivalries/roadies/etc hard to quantify.
