Translation:
The federal government has no responsibility in subsidizing the cost of child care, if you want handouts go elsewhere.

you do understand one of the functions of government is to incentivize activities that increase productivity and revenue, much like a business. Think of subsidizing childcare like trickle up economics.

No,. that is not an understanding that I'm currently carrying in my repertoire.

Had Harris made that statement, conservative posters here would rightly tear her apart.

But this is his usual word salad/stream of consciousness response he ALWAYS gives, and they always just rationalize it based on the one sentence fragment in the midst of all that; which sounds vaguely coherent.

That would have actually been a reasonable, easily defendable answer. No part of his incoherent babbling indicated that in any way. It was more like the rambling of an 8th grader who got called on to discuss Chapter 4 of the book that was assigned to read this week, who'd only read the title.

And think about how many MAGA idiots nodded and smiled during Trump’s ridiculous, incoherent attempt at a response.

That in a nutshell is why America is failing as a country and why so many Europeans repeatedly ask why Americans are so “bloody stupid.”

Well, because close to 70 million Americans are.

He’s the student who gets called on and hasn’t done a bit of homework or studying.

But seriously, these are the kinds of sober, well-reasoned policy pronouncements we’re just not getting from Harris and Walz!

This is the type of Trump response I think of, and there are plenty of them, when folks say "Kamala is ignorant, she is stupid" but they don't bat an eye at Trump's idiotic nonsense. It fails to answer the question. It doesn't make sense from a QnA perspective. It doesn't follow basic economic rules and shows he has no understanding of how trade really works.

This is his level of ignorance on every topic, but she is the stupid one....

It's like he's a trained monkey that only has a few tricks!

Just admit it. He didn't answer the question. He sounded like an idiot. You are making up what you wanted him to say.

You don't have to tow the line on every little thing for the guy. Im sure he would appreciate it, but he isn't here.
