Trump vows to rename Denali, North America's tallest mountain, as Mt McKinley

So it was okay for your team to change the name but you're a twat if you change it back?

You sound like the twat here to me, ngl
Changed the name? It was named by the indigenous people and rightfully so. We took that from them. It allowed to return to the name given to it by the indigenous people. It’s really not that difficult.

Nah, it's Mt. McKinley. Winners have decided.

You and the others who agree with your stance in this thread. Just do you if that language makes you feel safer.
Nice way to deflect and avoid my question. I'll be more direct. What is my political party?

Additionally, Democrats improperly (officially) named it Mt. McKinley in 1917 and corrected their error in 2015.

Oh, and I'd still like a response to post #39.

Wdym? The whole national park is named Denali in recognition of that.

Personally I think Trump should name it after himself. (My McKinley that is)

Could you clarify what draws you to President McKinley to the extent that you believe his name should be honored on the tallest mountain in North America? Additionally, why do you feel his legacy holds more significance than the wishes and cultural traditions of the indigenous peoples who have lived in the region for centuries?

Sounds to me like those who are against the renaming are in support of the Native American people and those for it just need a notch in their team's belt and couldn't care less about their fellow Americans.

I know breaking out of your DEI training is hard, and you LOVE the "native american people" you reference, but please wake up.

And this is why I, and others, have/had you on ignore. You can't be taken seriously. I have zero issue discussing issues with those who have opposing views, but since you refuse to sincerely answer any of my rational questions, I have no choice but to disengage and put you back on ignore. There's no reason to waste any further time on your clear attempts to just spam/troll this board.

Yeah, but you get offended by mt. Rushmore.. what non NPC would care about your lack of attention?

I'm a conservative, former Republican. You can't even have a mature, rational discussion with someone who should, under normal circumstances, be your constituent.
Sure thing, ragnar. What was it like voting for Kamala, the furthest left presidential candidate in us history? You conservative, you..

His VP way overshadowed him on every level.

The reason Obama changed the name to Denali was because it was a guerrilla marketing campaign for General Motors.*

*—this may or may not actually be true

You know it's a slow news day when the best/worst the left can complain about is the name of a mountain...
It's a message board. What would you like to discuss on a slow, Monday 2 days before Christmas? Also, why does respecting the wishes of Native Alaskans have to be a "left" issue. Why can't that be non-partisan?

I think Scruddy should explain to us why it's important to him that the Mountain NOT be named Denali in support of the clear wishes of Alaskans and Native Alaskans, but rather some dead President who had zero ties to the Mountain.
It's because he's a twat, like his hero.

He's a troll incapable of providing a rational opposing stance outside of:

A mountain in a state most of them have never even been to lol

I've spent time in Denali. None of the locals give a f*ck about the name of the mountain. Only virtue signaling lefties do.
