Tuskegee Airmen will no longer be taught to Air Force recruits

They can probably still learn about General Henry "Hap" Arnold, Chuck Yeager, and Brigadier General Billy Mitchell. However, that woke stuff about women and people of color apparently doesn't belong in Trump's military.
They won’t learn shit about them

I live in San Antonio and worked on Lackland for 20 years. This was in our local paper today:

TL;DR Summary:

President Trump signed an executive order banning diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the federal government, resulting in immediate changes within the Air Force. At Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, a video about the Tuskegee Airmen, along with content on Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) and diversity, was removed from the Air Force basic training curriculum. The Tuskegee Airmen, pioneering Black pilots in World War II, shattered racial barriers and became legendary for their contributions to the war effort, while the WASP broke gender barriers by serving critical roles in aviation during the same period. Critics argue that the decision to remove these materials undermines historical education, with many asserting that such content represents history, not DEI initiatives.

Well done, MAGA. You put pure evil in The White House. I'm waiting for our resident both sides guys to acknowledge how shitty this is. Everything Trump has done in a week is freaking disgusting. Racist and disgusting. Pushed by the bigots from the Heritage Foundation.

Only a Lib could be this gullible and stupid.
You and the MAGA cult members going to find a link to refute it or not? God forbid you could just type, "I apologize. OP was right." You won't because you're a bigot and support Trump doing this...trying to eliminate a legendary group of heroes from history. Fvck. You.

I doubt they make them watch Top Gun and Top Gun 2 for BASIC TRAINING either....

the story of the Tuskegee Airmen is one of bravery and loyalty to country that is told every day in America....just not for basic training...

Are you serious?

"History lessons" improve military readiness by teaching extremely valuable lessons from past successes and failures. Ever heard of trends and analysis? Understanding our history helps us service members avoid mistakes and replicate effective strategies. Geebus, I just watched the King of Wessex in the series Vikings read Roman history, implement their tactics and defeat the Vikings.

Additionally, these "history lessons" build leadership skills, foster teamwork, and inspire resilience by highlighting the sacrifices and achievements of those who came before (esprit decor). If you don't understand why we serve our country, then I can't help you.
I like you, Alaska, but seriously. Why do you engage that colossal piece of shit?

Also if you look more into the story Iowa has ties to Tuskegee Airmen and that made me really proud learning about them when I was away from Iowa for the first time in my life with dudes from all over the country not giving two craps about Iowa. Good times.

OK. Maybe add it to the training if P-47 and P-38 pilots, too. 🙄

Seems like your promotion testing should be tied to how well you can kill bad guys. Just sayin’.
Dude, shut the F up about stuff you don’t understand. You are just being a douche and you know it. I served 8 years Active Duty Air Force, my father served in the Air Force, my Grandfather flew B26 Marauders during WW2. Guess what, there was no Air Force before Army Air Corps. Should we not learn about our heritage? Should we not take pride in the branch we serve in. I was stationed at Tinker AFB in Midwest City OK. Two of my sons were born there. You make me embarrassed that they are Okies.

We should learn about all of it.
Leave the Tranny’s and Diversity/Equity out if it.
It’s called celebrating accomplishments and recognizing them.

Related all federal agencies are being told no celebration of Black History Month. It’s an interesting proof in many ways that maybe DEI was in fact needed at places…

Also related, more Black people voted for Trump than they did previously, including a whopping 3 out of 10 Black males under 45. Let it burn.

Why did your head immediately go to long dongs? Nvm I actually don't wanna know
You say you want to be taken seriously and not be grouped in with the likes of H4aD and Rico, then you come in here and act just like them? Seriously, Scruddy, what is up w/ you? Any rational person should be able to take their team jersey off and have a rational discussion about a topic w/o taking a stance that places you on the side of spite. I looked at Trump's first grouping of EOs, for example, and can honestly say I'm okay with a few of them. I don't have to be all in or all out (although, with Trump--I'm mostly out because I see who he is).

It's very clear he's on a spiteful revenge tour, and as a Christ Follower, I want no part of it.

Spot on analysis.

This will bring down the prices of eggs. $5.99 when I bought them yesterday. Should be .99 by the end of the month formerly known as Black History Month.

Meh. GFY. I was never in the Chair Force and yet I somehow know the story of the Red Tails, the army air corps, the army air force, etc. I was never in the marines and yet I know about the Black Sheep. Go figure.

Typical response, degrade the people who serve by calling their branch of service “chair force” Can’t wait to read more of your posts. Enlightening.

Lol I admittedly just came into this thread to have fun and laugh at some of the crying. You seemed legit upset about this topic and out of respect to your position I opted not to keep rolling with you. I get some of what you're saying and I don't disagree with all of it. I do think 25 trump is off to a way better start than 2017 trump was. Despite some potential bath water moments as you put it.
You get your ass handed to you in this thread(as well as many others) & you always default to a gay or trans joke. Such a loser troll
I wasn't the one who originally mentioned long dongs..

It's not "upset" in the traditional sense, especially not in the "liberal tears" way (and, to be clear, I'm not a liberal). Instead, it's a concern for the direction of our country. There are unintended consequences (or maybe intended, only time will tell) to ripping the band-aid off in spite. A reasonable approach regarding illegal immigration was laid out, but none of you have bothered to respond to it.

I get it; it's an anonymous message board, but more often than not, this place reflects the true nature of a person's character. I'm typically pretty honest despite the anonymity.

Stop, Feeding. The, Troll.

These guys are worthless pieces of shit who have no redeeming value or purpose in life. Hence why they spend day and night here desperately seeking purpose and validation to their otherwise meaningless existence.
