Rough round for the Hawks. Gonzalez, Diduch, and Larramendy all lose. Now wait to see if they get pulled back in.

Naomi Simon won 9-0, bringing home bronze. Unfortunately the other 3 were eliminated from repechage.

Women’s 72Kg. Robinson in the finals. She has three falls, two under a minute and in 1:22.

Basset with the standing craddle to a fall. The match was tied 4-4 in the last period. Wow
Bassett with the cradle and fall in the second period. Was tied 4-4 before that sequence.
Rademacher’s opponent was a tank. Picked up the 4-0 win though
Domination so far. Semi finals are next at 10:45 eastern, but all eligible for at least bronze medal matches.
India has a promising future with their lightweights. Lilledahl & Bassett won tough matches against the Indians.

Duke loses 5-5 on criteria. Thought he had the W with the last score but I guess I still don’t fully understand freestyle rules. He also had a 4-pointer that didn’t count because of the step out (I’d like to see better continuation rules).

criteria goes to the highest scoring move 1st. If both wrestlers have same highest score, then it's the amount of times they scored it. Duke only had a single 2pt move, while opp had a pair of 2pt moves.
Ok, that’s stupid. I didn’t realize it was number of times. Thats too complicated to expect the wrestlers to track during competition.
Guy from KAZ at 97kg won Sr worlds last year at 92kg he won the weight that Zahid was in
If they have good coaches, it shouldn’t be a problem. If you don’t, like Dresser last year, it becomes an issue.
It’s displayed on the scoreboard pretty prominently.
