Under preforming again

Maybe you should go cheer for those other two teams. Many here won’t miss you.
You mean that I can no longer desire that Iowa be #1 by seeing their deficiencies and correcting them (maybe Kyle Dake hire for assistant)?
Point of order: Cruz was the 29 seed and a .500 wrestler. Going 0-2 isn’t “way under.”
This is Iowa. If he would not have tanked at Bigs, he would not have been seeded so poorly. He was seeded #5 at Bigs.

Iowa loses Buchanan, brings all other points back.

All three of OSUs finalists were transfers, and two graduate. The pokes may pass Iowa, but it hasn't happened yet.
Not only were two of their three finalists, but they were all transfers (not much mention).

Also, OSU loses 133, 157, 165, 174, 184, 197 and 285. Without a huge portal hit, OSU will be struggling next year. Doubtful Spratley repeats that performance.

They will be plus big points at 197 next year

They were seeded to have 4 AAs. They have 2. Barring a big upset tonight, which I’m rooting for, neither of their AAs will wrestle above their seed. Fairly standard weak NCAA performance for them.

This was Doug’s best team after 15 seasons, and he’s to be commended for that, but it also says he’s right where he belongs—not at a major program.

Why do people not give tan Tom and tosu more grief for under performance. Someone should do a break down of his average finishes at tosu. It seems he gets better recruits on average than Iowa and I’m willing to bet that his average finishes at nationals don’t out place iowas.

Someone in another thread commented about results from the 2010s and 2020s being night and day. But based on this, it’s more like day and also day.

You always have suggestions and most negative threads and posts are done by you.
In your head you have to be the smartest guy in the room.
Maybe you need a new team??
I just see deficiencies and point them out. Captain Kirk didn't know that his OC/QBC sucked - I helped him understand. FM never realized that he needed a coach to teach defense and how to rebound. I tried to help him out but Beth axed him instead. 15 years of me squabbling just didn't get the trick done. Coach Brands needs an upper weight assistant/technician with name recognization to impress young recruits. Until Buchannan (a hired gun), Iowa hadn't had an upperwight national champion in 15 years. That is a glaring problem. The sooner he fixes it thew better; otherwise, OSU will bury Iowa along with PSU.

Have any of you guys read this board when Iowa wins a close dual meet? Hell, have you read it when they win 30-8?

Make no mistake, if Iowa was barely losing to PSU at NCAA’s but losing 5-6 dual meets per year, Brands would already be gone…

Nebraska had a great tournament. History says it was a fluke. Props to Manning, and even bigger props if he can repeat it.

Nebraska returns 6 AAs and the 2nd most points from last weekend.

Things can change over the next seven months, but right now, they have the inside track for second.
