UNI at Little Debbie

He's a likeable guy. Seems to be a good recruiter and understands how to develop players too. I think he was caught off guard at what it takes to win in the B1G last year. We're still in for some heartbreakers but it's nice to in the news for the positive though.
I hate admitting this. He is not the standard douche CFB coach with an ego. Enjoy his interviews and you can tell he is in it for his players. I know your board likes to call KF all sorts of things but he does remind me of his players first and no outside noise mentality. Does things the right way. Hate you guys having success again but that’s from the Hawkeye fan stand point, happy for you all otherwise. Great get at coach.

I'm a Husker fan, College Football fan, not a Husker Board fan. I get where the animosity comes from. It would be hard for Iowa fans to hate on Rhule when he admires Ferentz as much as he does.

Probably the most popular shirt being worn on game days right now is Cautiously Optimistic Husker Shirts.

To be fair I had a lot of respect for him,

Until he hired baby Ferentz and told you all to gofvck when you all noticed your entire offense aside from tight ends sucked.

The best possible outcome for NU. Seems like a good dude to develop kids which is a requirement at NU. We're not getting 4-5 5 stars every year. Will NU win a championship? No, the landscape of college football has probably changed too much since the 90's. I'm hoping for a bowl game every year and make a run at 10-2 every few years when the schedules favorable. It's hard to win in the north with a small population. 8-4 this year would be a great season for NU.

Rhule does love him some KF and Parker. He talked last week about stealing some of Parker's coverages. He respects the Iowa coaches more than some of your fans. I'd take the consistency over the past 20 years.

Not so sure I agree about the championship thing for either of our teams. I think Iowa's biggest problem currently is coaching, Kirk is a great coach but it seems he's set in his ways and may be a bit bitter over his son being fired. He's happy with a winning season, a bowl game and cashing his check each year. When it comes to taking any risk he's happier with the tried and true way he does things. Like you said, the landscape has changed but not Kirk. I think if he stepped out of his box and took a few swings at some really good QB you'd be better off. Coaching up players is great, but you need a few that can hit the ground running to keep up.

Rhule on the other hand looks to be a gunslinger when it comes to risk taking, nothing is off the table. His first year we expected worse based on his first years at temple and Baylor so 5-7 was a pleasant surprise for me. as for recruiting he's not afraid of shooting for the moon on players and has gotten lucky on a few. This year he's hosted even more high end recruits and had 3 five stars show up for the Colorado game and two of those are committed to other schools. He seems to have an eye for talent because a lot of the three stars we had verbally committed for 2025 have since received their fourth star. Will this all pan out? Who knows, only time will tell.

My expectations for this year is a bowl game of some sort. Also winning a game we weren't expecting to instead of the last minute melt down.

Yet to be seen. They have a cake schedule and shown nothing yet. UNI seems to be doing well running clock that cannot be a good sign

One of us has 15th hardest schedule while the other has the 35th.

Nebraska’s schedule is more difficult. Would be hard to argue that Washington is better than USC.
Disagree wholeheartedly, as does ESPN. Iowa has a harder schedule, while little debbie has 7 games that most decent teams practically sleepwalk through.

Schedule strength changes. Iowa has an easier schedule as of now. Avoiding Indiana, USC, PSU, Michigan and playing a very average Washington helps. Ohio State and Nebraska are the only difficult games left.

I just posted the most recent ESPN REM SOS. REM is Remaining SOS. The SOS get re-ranked once teams start playing. Teams that were perceived to be good at season start might prove not so good. Thus the rerank. We play Illinois Friday who are now rank upping our SOS.

Not a good way to look at our schedule. Pretty much every game will be difficult. You are being disrespectful of several teams.

Considering a large majority of teams have been playing scrubs the last 3 weeks, re-ranking doesn't mean anything. Teams that are dropping 50 on FCS teams can get killed by B1G teams. Maryland has done that for years. I also doubt that Indiana is all of a sudden a B1G powerhouse. We won't know teams' true potential until they start playing better competition.

As it stands now, so far Iowa has had the more difficult schedule than little debbie.

See above. Michigan and Washington are on equal footing if we're basing it strictly on their performances so far.

ESPN remaining strength of schedule shows Nebraska’s schedule is more difficult. The lower the number, the harder the schedule. Also- a lower score in golf means you’re better.. in case you didn’t know..

I don't think either team should take anyone for granted as of yet. Iowa is still Kirk Ferentz Iowa. Nebraska has a lot to prove, especially in close games.

SOS can change from week to week, as I said. Remaining doesn't mean anything when things can change from week to week. SOS is nothing more than a prediction based on last season's final results.

Your lower number means nothing until the end of the season. In case you didn't know...

Bro.. you brought up espn and then got dunked on with espn’s data point. You are literally too stupid to debate with.

So basically SOS is according to you and how you see it. Got it! I'd like to see how you define it. I looked up the schedule for each, we play 3 ranked teams, two of which are sitting in the top 11 (USC and Ohio0. Iowa plays one from that top 11 (Ohio) and then us at #22. Iowa State wasn't ranked when they beat you and won't be ranked in the near future once they hit conference play. Colorado>Iowa State but they won't meet up on the field. Washington isn't on equal footing as Michigan since Washington was depleted of players and coaching staff more so than Michigan and Michigan whoop Washington.

So tell me why you have a tougher schedule then if none of it matters till the end? You got this going by making the statement Iowa had the tougher schedule. What rules would you like us to follow?

I hope he’s right. It would mean Nebraska is ranked higher than USC 😍

Bro.. I used it as a point that you shitheads are cherry picking stats by choosing the remaining rather than the preseason SOS ranking. SOS means nothing until the end of the season to determine who really had the stronger SOS as its based on the overall record/performance from each team. But you're a retarded bugeater, so I don't expect much.

So are you retarded or what? SOS is only determined by the performance and record of a team. That isn't proven until the end or a season. For example, ISU wouldn't be considered a difficult game at the beginning of the season, but if they perform well and win the Big 12, that game's difficulty would increase Iowa's own SOS at the end of the year.

Of course Washington is on equal footing with Michigan, thier performances over the past three games prove they're near the same difficulty. Michigan struggled with a bad team and was blown out by Texas. Washington has won 2 of three of thier games handily, while losing a close one to rival Washinton State.

You bugeaters need to go be stupid somewhere else.
