They've played dogshit competition for three weeks and they think they're hot shit. Most teams in the FBS have also played terrible teams too, there are only a few select teams such as Texas and Alabama that are the exception due to thier non-con. The real measuring stick starts when conference play begins.
It's funny, they've been using my own logic this whole time and they don't even realize it. Indiana has been ranked as a B1G bottomfeeder all pre season, and now they act like they're a real power in the conference. It's almost like SOS is truly determined once teams have actually performed and played games? But hey, they're bugeaters, they're slow on the uptake.
That's the kind of response I'd expect from someone who knows they've been beaten.
I’m surprised we have some respectful huskers on the board, Nebraska feels more of a Wisconsin rivalry rather than an ISU/Minnesota type rivalry. I can respect the rings, others here cannot. Of course BCS standings< College Football Playoff now IMO.

And I have no "bite" because I don't disagree. I do think the argument is a bit more nuanced, as there is some inherent value in a teams potential based on last years results and off-season additions, but ultimately I've never cared for SOS arguments until the season is in the final 2/3's and accurate comparisons can be drawn.

Yes, I was using the actual pre-season SOS purposefully because I found it funny that you dorks would cherry pick one stat while ignoring the other. I'll keep saying it again and again, SOS means nothing when it can fluctuate week to week depending on other team's performances. I'm sure teams that had FSU on their schedule got a nice bump in their SOS in the pre-season. How has FSU turned out so far? C'mon little buddy, use that head of yours.

UNI OL was bludgeoning NEB up front for a good portion of that game which was a little surprising. Fortunately for NEB, their schedule is very manageable until late in the year.
