Haha this made me laugh, So true.

Villanova was great today. Uni gave the game away and did so many things that are signs of poor coaching in the game. If we praise Jacobson like he's a combination of Phil Jackson and Greg poppovich, then he deserves criticism when they have the biggest collapse of ncaa tournament history.
Fair points. If that uni collapse happened to Iowa I could only imagine the way Iowa would get roasted. Kxno, kcci, etc. with uni, they get praised when they do well but when a huge collapse happens they never get criticized. Jacobson is never criticized by the media.Personally an 11 seed losing a game to a 3 seed in the way they did is a big deal, but not the biggest.
Iowa (3) losing to (14)NW state in 2006 was also a collapse. Wasn't Iowa up 15 w/4min to go? I mean it happens in basketball, but to blame the coach is just idiotic. They were out of Time-outs, they had their senior leader on the bench w/a knee injury. Nothing they could do, the refs were allowing the other team to get physical and they didn't rise up. It was a team effort and they lost it just like Iowa did at ISU this past year.
No one is comparing him to Phil Jackson. Bens a good coach who has taken a small program and put it on the big stage. Nothing wrong with that.

That's exactly right, I was praying they would toss it long any of the times so they had to either chase it down or go out of bounds deep. Wes could've tossed high in the air and bought time down court, but both times that failed they tried to throw it off someone and they backed off and missed them. My toughest play was the three point play when Jesperson was back peddling giving the lay up and got called for the foul in that stretchTheir trigger man was down, they had the ball in the hands of a Sophomore. Bohannon tried coming back in and the coach kept him out until it was too late. They went right where they were not supposed to. But Also when they caught the ball, they all curled up. You have to catch and try and break it by dribbling through. I doubt the refs would of called a foul, but at least you turn it over instead of throwing it right to them.
I bet Wes is killing himself he should of just jumped up and threw it downcourt. It would of been out of bounds at the other end correct? They still would of had 4-5 seconds left, but would of had to get off a shot in that time frame. Overall tough break, but they got lucky in the first round and the second round their luck ran out.
I'm sure A&M players were told to grab, push, whatever they had to do to get the foul called without any time coming off the clock. Unfortunately for UNI the officials were letting them get away with it.

I actually don't think this is possible without one of the players deliberately throwing the game. Several times the pass went directly to A&M and it wasn't even close. I would want to look into this if I were UNI athletic director. I really don't see how Jacobson keeps his job after a performance like that. Worst coaching I have ever seen. He even could have had his player call timeout and it would have only cost them a free throw, on the techinical but they would have been given the timeout, but I guess he didn't know that or didn't care.
For real? Are we really bringing point shaving into this? And Jacobsen has a contract for life there if he wants it.I actually don't think this is possible without one of the players deliberately throwing the game.
