So if this holds and we lose to Costa Rica by 7 goals, we go to Qatar in the summer to prob play NZ right? That's the worst case is a 1 game playoff?
To me, not the least of the reasons we failed 5 years ago was that the USA squad took qualifying for granted. Never saw that sense of urgency you need in that situation.

Only 6 since it’s against us so it would be on both ends. So still very likely to qualify but not outside the realm of possibility. I’d expect to play a defensive lineup Wednesday.

Yellow cards should have a carryover limit. Maybe 3-4 games to keep guys from being overly aggressive but also not penalizing teams too much.
