Going to Vegas in a few weeks and looking for some help. I am wanting to spend a couple days just playing tournaments. I see quite a few poker rooms have daily tournaments. Looking for anyone who has experience playing in some of these. Where and which ones have you played in? I don't want to sign up for some of these and only have a handful of players show up or it just be an all in fest. Any help appreciated?

I played in a couple of the Caesars tournaments a few years ago. Good turnout. Decent blind structure. Would recommend, but don’t know if that is still the story.

I’d check out the poker blogs for latest. 2 + 2 blog used to have good info on all the rooms. Good luck.

It would help to know what buy-in range you are considering.

Wear a pro wrestling mask so they can’t see if you are bluffing. I like watching the World Series of Poker just to see the different “acts” the players use.

Use pokeratlas and look for guaranteed payouts. I don’t think you have to worry about many being dead though this time of year.

I stayed at Aria last year and played a bunch of 5/10 no limit... It was a ton of all-ins and chase. Very frustrating.

I did do a $200 buy-in where about 125 people played... The first couple hours many played pretty loose trying to double up. Settled down after that.

I’ll be out there in a few weeks. There is a big series at Bellagio going on. Entry fees of $500 Sunday and $1,000 other day mins.

I know nothing about this. Is the entry fee the only way the casinos make their money for running the tournaments?
