Jack Sawyer is the heart and soul of that defense. He's emotional about Ohio State. After Ohio State beat Tennessee, I asked him how they were able to respond after the loss to Michigan.

"It took me, like, three days to even leave the house. I hate to even say that. I don't want them to think they're living rent free in my head, but it means that much to all of us. You know what I mean?"

Nice game plan by Texas to bracket the 2 WR's and make everyone else beat them. OSU is talented enough to be able to do that, I'd like to see them utilize TE's more. SHould be a good game, ND and OSU are very physical.

Ohio State SHOULD dominate Notre Dame, but that's why they play the game.

Both semi final games were great. Hopefully another good game for the championship
ND plays tough, physical football. They have an outstanding, aggressive, confident young coach. I think Ohio State wins, but it won't be easy. As much as I detest Notre Dame, I have great respect for the way they play and the way they're coached. Yes, I'm jealous, sorry to admit.

All of a sudden I'm suppose to root for teams I have loathed for years. No Thanks. Don't care.
Agree. Piss on both of these freakin’ teams. How does respect for our league change the fact that we are a perennial irrelevant, mediocre also ran???

I thought FRanklin and his OC got away from the running game too much in the 2nd half. Penn St avg 5 yards per carry on 42 carries but late in the game it was pass mode even when they had the lead. I think OSU can probably run the ball well enough to set up big passes when they want to. Now ND likes to crowd the LOS more than what TX did so who knows.

Notre Dame didnt quite get to 3 yards per carry against PSU.

If Howard has time to throw then OSU wins because they basically have 3 All American type receivers, Iowa has none

Beano is reason #1 why I'll never cheer for the Irish.
Really? He was the Alex Jones of college football. Fun to laugh at the off the wall stuff he said but absolutely nobody took him seriously. For me it was how much espn sucked off notre dame in the 80s and 90s.

i’m getting the sense that freeman rises to the occasion and is able to get more out of his guys in big games. day in that regard is less proven. that said day has managed a fine recovery since losing to iowa…uhh i mean michigan

If the current line (OSU -9.5) were to hold, a Notre Dame win would be the biggest upset of the CFP era (after TCU’s win over Michigan at +8). Not sensing that kind of magic from the Irish. Seems like their QB practically wins their games single-handedly; I don’t think OSU can be beaten that way. They are a machine right now.

Pretty impressive, imo, in how they circled the wagons, blocked out the outside noise and got to work after that massive home loss to Michigan.

Beano sucked the ND teets for years. That's why.

Also, who is Alex Jones?
