Can't recall his name but the big rangy wide out on his team. Is he still considering Iowa. I had heard they wanted to play college ball together. Anyone hearing anything?.

I think you are talking about Sam I (his adopted brother) sounds like he might want to play basketball in college.

I heard that KF offered some kind of 'arrangement' during his last home visit to entice Waggoner to commit.

Sam Ingoli. 6’5” athlete that can catch the ball. What’s not to like?

I saw a picture of him holding the state championship trophy. Before I saw that I was thinking maybe beef him up to a TE. That guy is THIN. Not sure beefing him up that much is possible. We would probably want him to stay trim and keep up his speed, IMHO.

That's Sam Ingoli. He lives with the Waggoner family, so he's more like a brother to John.

It sounds like he's probably going to wait until the end of basketball season to see if he gets more interest in hoops. If not, there's a chance he could end up at Iowa as a preferred walk-on. Same for Dowling LB Mitchell Riggs possibly.

I asked Waggoner about all of this when I interviewed him this week.

I was really impressed with Riggs in the championship game. Played very hard every play. I am glad there is a chance he could be a Hawk. Off the top of your head, anyone got a idea of how big he is?
Never mind. Got it. 6’2”, 215lbs
Thank you for posting Blair!

Seems like if Ingoli put all his effort into football he could be really good at either receiver or bulk up and be a TE.

Muskie - I don't know if you are a Hawk or Clone troll with your posts. But that is an absolute lie. And you "didn't hear it" you are trolling. Totally untrue. In fact, the parents and the boys made it clear there would be no connection. Makes me sick U would post a total lie to make it look like some "deal" so we could get John over ISU. Pathetic.

From his interview:
Q: Have you and Sam talked at all about possibly going to Iowa together?

WAGGONER: Yeah, we’ve talked about it, but at the end of the day Sam’s got to do whatever is best for him. (because he's still looking at playing basketball)

Sounds like an 'arrangement' to me, so what was it I lied about? I had heard (before any of these interviews came out) that they told Waggoner that if Sam decided he wanted to play football instead of basketball, that they would offer him a preferred walk-on. You don't think that was enticing to Waggoner? Didn't say that is why he chose Iowa. I'm not any kind of troll, and if you read ALL my posts, I put out a lot of quality info. I hope you get over your sickness.

Dude stop. Just stop. I know the family. Read your post. Enticement that "if" Sam plays football instead of basketball "there is a chance of a preferred walk on." And that is an arrangement? "If's" and "chance" is an arrangement and he still committed. Stop pal. Makes me sick. There never was nor will there be any enticement or arrangement so stop f'n lying. The family and kids made it clear. Go to CF.

Might not be a troll but your post was 100% fabrication and assumptions....you claimed you heard this....from where did you hear this?

Mile High - that is my point. Full of crap. And horrible rumor. The family and kids said no tie in at all or "arrangement" as Muskie "heard." So Muskie says some package deal (lie) and then cites "If's" and "Maybe's" as the kid committed. He has to be a Clone. Sick.

Most certainly wasn't fabricated. Heard it from a Des Moines coach at a Wrestling tournament. And like I said, there appears to be merit to what this coach said, so I would say he was pretty credible.

No one 'lied'. And at no time did I say anything about a 'package deal'. You are are notorious for 'reading into things'. This is what a Des Moines coach told me, so I passed it along. I'm not revealing the coaches name, but what he told me sounds fairly accurate to me. I'm not sure what your problem is? Are you saying that Waggoner wasn't informed or told that there may be a preferred walk on opportunity for Ignoli before Waggoner made his decision? You know, I'm done with this. I posted what I heard. Don't like it, piss off. You don't like most of what I post anyway.
P.S.- If you know the family so well, have them tell you all about KF's last visit in great detail and then let us know. How does 'knowing his family' land you any credibility unless you talk to them directly. I've posted stuff about Wieskamp because I talk to him and his father and mother directly. I know a lot of 'families', unless you talk to them directly about it, you don't know any more than any other poster on here. I know Zach Peterson's 'family' but I'm not going to proclaim I know more than you about his recruiting situation because I haven't talked to him or his father. I did hear from his wrestling coahc that Illinois offered him before I saw any reports online. I know his wrestling coach pretty well, so if I hear anything about his recruitment, I'll let you know.

Whenever I open a new thread (to read), I ask myself: How many posts before it devolves into bitchy back-biting and arguments between frequent posters. The median seems to be around 6 posts.

Seriously, guys, it gets so bad, you can't even post on the topic at hand after a half page, because it's just lost between catty back-and-forth posts.

I like that theory and I think I'll follow it. It's like talking politics, people are going to believe what they want to believe no matter what you tell them, so I just need to share my info and my informed opinions and move on.

I mean, I get it. It's hard not to respond - I've been caught up in it. I just try not to start it, not to make accusations, bash people who haven't said/done anything to me.

Fine Muskie. You said there was an arrangement in your post. And made it sound like that is why Iowa got John. And then u cited quotes which went directly against your position which is weird. And now some wrestling coach backed u up?! WTF. And other posters called u out besides me. And I know the deal. Just stop. Jesus. Do u like posting lies to get hits on Muskie? Sad. Go back to Cyclone Fanatic and circle jerk there. Jesus.

I didn't make it SOUND like anything. My post was ONE sentence. Like I said before, please tell us the 'deal' or just let it go. You won't, because you don't know anything. I'm done with you.

It isn't worth it kujawa. It's that whole "drag you down and beat you with experience" thing. I too fell into that trap.

ANYONE KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT SAM TO KNOW IF HIS FRAME COULD TAKE THE WEIGHT OF A TE, OR IF HE IS FAST ENOUGH TO BE ON THE FEILD AT WR(D1)?

Wasn't - he is a POS posing as an Iowa fan. He flat said there was an arrangement "if" Sam wanted to play football and then "maybe" he gets a gray shirt. And that is how we got John during Kirk's last family meeting. Leave aside the "if's" and "maybe's" on his post. It was a total lie. And what he cited was exactly the deal. The kids are going to make their own decisions. Jesus - I hate Clown fans posting as Hawks and totally lying and even worse the quotes they use rebut their own lies. Horrible. Muskie - the "deal" was there is no deal. John accepted when Sam may or may not play football and if does play football he "may" get a gray shirt. Both kids and parents said the same f'in thing. Sickening how little brother ISU fans are.

Nobody is arguing here at all, just simply calling you out for making crap up. Some random Des Moines football coach at some random wrestling tournament......suuuurrree I believe you. Iowa is interested in Sam but nothing more than interest, much like about a dozen other programs....John has been an Iowa lean for some time now, Iowa’s class was filling up so he decided to pull the trigger b fore it did. Sams future as a hawkeye has no bearing what so ever, in fact Sam would prefer basketball for it is his passion and is hoping to have good Senior season to get an opportunity at mid major or better....obviously John would not be going to mid major

Everyone thinks their own opinion is an informed opinion.

Well I'm fairly chummy with a couple of you guys in here so I'm not going to pick a side. But I will simply point out how we all have a tendency to "miss" or add things to people's posts....

If I'm not mistaken the "wrestling" coach comment was referencing Peterson.

The rest is all conjecture. Yes his comments were a play on words, I use it all the time in my field, but what he said is widely open for interpretation.

As my wife always tells me, you can choose to be offended by it or you cannot.

Well, believe what you want. Like I said, just passed along what I hear. Know lots of coaches (football and wrestling) and they're always talking. Most of the time they're a good source of info. My info for the most part is accurate, and if it isn't, it isn't because I made it up. I suppose you think I'm just making the stuff I posted about Peterson as well?

The Ignoli as a PWO isn't even secret much less controversial. People out here in DSM have been talking about it for a while. If you have seen Ignoli play you probably think he's got a chance to play wide receiver at Iowa. It sounds like Muskie heard the same stuff thats blowing in the Des Moines wind.

Not a "deal" just a recognition that Ignoli has an opportunity to play at Iowa. God knows we need WR so if giving a pretty fast 6'5" receiver a look if it means a 4* DE commits then why would we even care if there was such a deal?
