Having said that, my current stance is to let MAGA self-immolate so we can get back to a more bipartisan country; picking unqualified people is a faster path to that objective, so I guess in a weird way I hope he is confirmed.

There is a MASSIVE difference between leading a single platoon and running a department that employs MILLIONS.

I'll even be fair that his resume doesn't sound terrible - especially compared to Gaetz. For less senior positions in the DoD or the administration this wouldn't bug me all that much. But he's never run anything close to what the DoD will entail. It's a moot point tho - the GOP senate will rubber-stamp his nomination barring something truly shocking.
