Yah, that'll turn Iowa basketball around. Lift more weights. Also invade Canada, Greenland, and Mexico. That will elevate Iowa basketball the same as a greater emphasis on strength and conditioning.

If DeVries were coaching these same players, Iowa would be an NCAA team. You don't play defense and you don't rebound, you don't win. It has nothing to do with how much you can bench press. LOL

Not a bicep in sight. My racist remark for the day; skinny white boys that only shoot threes are fine as complimentary players not as your nucleus. Fran’s ability to put together a complimentary team is now proven to be awful. Not sure Beth needs more empirical evidence.

Keeping both Mulvey and Brauns on scholarship for another year with no intention of having either play (or letting Tadjo play) was such an incredibly stupid move.

There had to have been plenty of better transfer options out there that could give 10-15 minutes a game at the 5.

If you're going to pay players you can't worry about hurting feelings.

There had to have been plenty of better transfer options out there that could give 10-15 minutes a game at the 5.

If you're going to pay players you can't worry about hurting feelings.

Oh, I agree totally and we have some of the same issue on the womens team unfortunately. Honestly its probably a bigger issue on Jans team, simply because of the juice we had coming off the CC22 years. Now is the time to strike to stay relevant in the national spotlight and we have players taking up spots who simply aren't capable of being contributors for a top 10-20 level team. If we still want to be a team that can make a run at elite 8 type seasons then Jan will need to get busy. We have some great additions coming in, no doubt, but we'll still be pretty weak beyond the first 6-7 girls when it comes to quality depth, and that will make it hard to keep up with the upper level teams.

It will take a national player of the year to get Iowa to the elite eight if we're going off past history. 3 times since 1993, all 3 teams had POTY winners.
