What do you think the odds are of Cook

I think the majority of people believe Cook would do himself well by staying another year, and yes, it would likely help Iowa as well. But, I honestly don't see anyone thinking less of Cook because of his decision to leave.

This is just my opinion, but I really don't think another year at Iowa will make any difference in his prospects for professional basketball. He just doesn't have the skills to play in the NBA. He will play somewhere in Europe and maybe he'll end up with a year in the G-league but he simply can't do many things that well. Freak athlete, but doesn't seem to understand his limitations at all. He should never handle the ball except on the block, but that requires fighting for post position and having the footwork (Garza has good footwork on offense) to make a scoring move. Then in terms of rebounding position it is the same thing - he should lurk on the weak side, get position with his lower body, and get a ton of garbage putbacks (some of which could even be DUNKS!)

I understand what you're saying.

I was just trying to reiterate that most (if not all) are not 'down' on Cook for leaving.

I just feel so bad now that you have set me straight:(. If Tyler isn't snapped up in the 1st round of the NBA draft, Iowa fans need to voice there displeasure by calling their congressmen or senators or give the Donald a tweet to right the wrong. Tyler was just awesome in every respect and we'll never see another player like him again;). Heck, even the coaching staff have begun to fly the coop:rolleyes:.
Next season, without the one man dunking machine, could be just unbearable to watch. What a horrible season to look forward to:D
Glad I was able to set you straight!

I think Tyler Cook has a good chance of being drafted in the 2nd round. I think a team would be wise to take him and give him an opportunity.
I've been wrong most of my life, (ask the wife) but I'd love to have a large bet on your prediction. No way in hell does he get drafted, let alone in the 2nd round...:(

I think we would be happily surprised
Nah for some reason people on this board like to see Iowa players fail if they make a decision that doesn't please them. What's the over/under on number of "told you so" threads that get created if Cook doesn't get drafted?

Its great publicity for the program if we can put a guy in the NBA that can stick. It just makes it easier to get the next one in recruiting wars.

Sadly, I do not think TC will make it long term, too much tunnel vision, but I sure hope he does.
