It appears Stickley wrestled attached at the Luther open so the shirt has been burned. If so he will be at 125 for all three matches. Still no Bull? If would figure Young will be given one match out of the three this Friday.
Redshirt apparently pulled same deal as Burak a few years agoSo Stickley still has the shirt on, something that I am missing on is the fact that he wore the Iowa singlet at the Luther open. ?? I was under the impression that you can not represent the university in that way while redshirting?
He did in the finals against PerezI’m not sure that is the case as he didn’t wear an Iowa singlet. That is usually indicative of unattached but track did show him as attached.
Regardless, I am as excited about Iowa City duals as any year in recent history because it will be good to see some of the new guys against D1 competition.
He did in the finals against Perez
Agree just thought with them leaning hard on pulling Lee its a year where he wont have a chance to qualify for NcaaI'm sure Stick's input has been taken into account on if he should redshirt or not. He took the grey shirt last year so not exactly a true freshman. He would not pull it if he did not want to and he can always do it another year.
Hey I get it but if Lee decides to wrestle after Midlands then it is a wasted year of eligibility for Stickley when he could RS this year and build his body to a full size 133 and make a run for that spot next year. Seems like a waste to me to pull his shirt for 6 matches that really don't mean anything if he's gonna lose the spot mid season. I know people don't like the situation but as of now Stickley and Glynn are the future at 133.I'm sure Stick's input has been taken into account on if he should redshirt or not. No guarantee he wrestles next year at 133. If i’m him I want to be out there wrestling as a starter in front of the Hawkeye fans in Carver Arena as often and as soon as possible. Plus has not been decided yet if Spencer will even wrestle this year. If he does will he go every time or take a few matches off.Hey I get it but if Lee decides to wrestle after Midlands then it is a wasted year of eligibility for Stickley when he could RS this year and build his body to a full size 133 and make a run for that spot next year. SIAP - are these meets going to be on BTNPlus/FLO?

Stickley gets all 3 at 125 as already mentioned. Laux gets 2 and Glynn gets 1 at 133. Moody gets 2 and McQuillen gets 1 at 165. Gunther gets 2 and Young gets 1 at 174. JMO.My guess

The guys getting 1 match you think it's against a D1? If there gonna give them 1 match I hope it's against Buffalo or ND stStickley gets all 3 at 125 as already mentioned. Laux gets 2 and Glynn gets 1 at 133. Moody gets 2 and McQuillen gets 1 at 165. Gunther gets 2 and Young gets 1 at 174. JMO.
I would imagine so. I think last year it went every other match. Meaning someone didn’t wrestle back to back. So I would assume the 2 matchers will get Iowa Central and NDSU and the 1 matchers get Buffalo. Of course individual matchups could come into play as well. The guys getting 1 match you think it's against a D1? If there gonna give them 1 match I hope it's against Buffalo or ND st
Free the Lee, and start feeding Stickley.
Dont think that will be happening.I saw an article in the paper where the Bull said he was ready to go. not wrestling in wrestle-offs was just the last of his rehab time. I would expect to see him go this weekend given his comments.
Is the kid made of glass? I am driving a long way for this one, I expect Tom to roll out the Bull and Lee, I would be okay if he holds Warner back, but he should throw him in for good measure. Just based on the I-80 tolls alone, TNT owe me this.Dont think that will be happening.

I don't think we see him friday but we should by Midlands. That weight will turn some heads on Friday is my guess.Someone will slide right in there. Is the kid made of glass? In all seriousness, I would be a little concerned if the Bull is not out there on Friday. He has missed a lot of time with a lot of little injuries. For a RS F I am worried that he does not have a lot of competitive mat time to build off of going in to his first real season.

I believe he certed 165Doubt he can make it due to weight cutting rules.
Of course let’s wrestle him multiple times Friday in matches that mean nothing and take a chance of him being hurt again and out for the year.Is the kid made of glass? Not a chance. He is preparing physically to wrestle at 174. Not going to cut back down.Young at 165?

You take that chance any time you throw a singlet on and wrestle against a live body. Or leaving your house. Marinelli said he was 100% healthy in his interview posted here, so he's only healthy in his own mind?Of course let’s wrestle him multiple times Friday in matches that mean nothing and take a chance of him being hurt again and out for the year.
