They will not pocket a ride. Any scholarships given to walkons (Croston already has scholarship) will come from attrition of current players. Pretty safe bet that 3-5 players will not return next Fall for assorted reasons,

Most of those guys have coaches and agents in their ear. Nobody would ever refer a WR to GDGD.

Might be wrong but I believe he is talking about our passing scheme under current OC. I do agree with him that it's possible our routes and such are not totally desirable. I'm ready to let someone else have a shot.
If the rumor is true that a current DB commit may not qualify I would guess they have someone on hold for an offer that no on knows about right now. Seems to happen every year.
Also, I wonder what the story is on Jalen Embry. There was some talk earlier in the year of him rejoining the hawks if he got his grades in order.

Yes, I get it. He doesn't like Davis' offense. There are things about it I don't like too. That is not the point. Iowa has been playing football for over 125 years, and never has it been a place that attracts WRs. Davis has been running the offense for four of those years. To suggest that Davis is the reason Iowa wouldn't get a receiver, grad transfer or not is silly. It would be like blaming Paul Rhoads for ISU not winning the national championship.
