Am I making this up, or was Mendez also at this visit? Makes sense that it doesn't get much bigger than him. Personally, knowing the Naak family, I cannot imagine seeing Tate in anything other than the Hawkeye Singlet, but I am not THAT close to them...and it has to be the right offer/situation/etc. I know Tate had thought about Wisky, but that was when McD was there... I am/was thinking that he is more interested in McD than he was to Wisky....but that doesn't mean to the extent of Cornell College.
Yes getting ahold of 4-5 staffs thanking them and talking directly to them can take longer than expected at times. Kids may think call them all tonight and it's done sometimes it's not that easy. Glad this young man is taking the time to call all the coaches that's what needs to happen. It's the first time most kids have to be an adult and call other adults and tell them thanks but no thanks it teaches accountability
And they could be considered tough calls to make. So maybe they put if off a bit.

Both are top 40 guys in all of Iowa. Don’t think either are nationally ranked, but Carter did beat a ranked Kal Miller at Northern Plains.
Both have taken a step forward over the last 12 months
Southeast Polk kids work really hard train at Sebolt. Best wrestling is ahead of them no doubt
My pick is Naaktgeboren from 2023 and Voelker from 2022.

I agree. You’d have to be pretty awful to steal that moment from the athlete. Not to mention… I’m sure kids/coaches would stop telling you in advance.

If it was breakfast pizza. Their other pizzas are up for debate. But that breakfast pizza is fantastic.
