People who are familiar with your posting history are not surprised you have so easily "recognized a motive" and that conclusion is that "the left" is so obsessive with Trump that they're rooting for poor outcomes and that the left is sick and twisted.
That you think "the left" - however you define that - actually has that motive, makes you the sick and twisted. But it's not eye opening.

HCQ is proven to kill COVID in test tubes and at least some patients. It shows far more promise than grape juice SMH. Maybe it isn’t the wonder drug, maybe it is. Who knows?
I do find it interesting when people can say that the drug is dangerous and will give you a heart attack, and in the next breath say we need to save the drug to give to lupus patients!

I would like to know mortality rates in hospitals that are using it regularly against those that are not.
I don't mean this as an inflammatory comment, and truly want your opinion, and this question is not meant to be political. Is it possible that there is a motive on the other side as well? What strikes me as odd is that all of the talk from the WH is on hydroxychloroquine and not on other therapies that IMO have more hope of being effective (such as remdesivir, convalescent plasma, and some of the biologics). There are ongoing clinical trials for all of these. It has always seemed strange to me that these are not being mentioned nearly as much as hydroxychloroquine. Maybe it is just because they aren't readily available, but you would think they would be worth mentioning.

That would be interesting, but what would be even better would be randomized trial. There are tons of potential cofounders if you just look at mortality rates from different hospitals.
Because it’s anecdotal. Some people recover after you give them the drug. The questions are whether they would have recovered without the drug and whether giving the drug will harm patients.
Until you have a statistically significant study, it’s not a cure. I’m not saying don’t study or investigate it - just do the studies carefully and let’s find out.

Trump should probably let the doctors determine what is helpful and what's not and that requires time and testing. You don't need people killing themselves by taking something that only hurt them because the president mentioned it before modern medicine has had time to test it out.
Having people try out a drug before we even know all the side effects or even if that drug has any effect what so ever is at best irresponsible but it is extremely dangerous.

I didn't say that. You said all hospitals/docs were using it. That is not true. It is, however, being used in a lot of places
It's takes zero scientific knowledge to see people who will do whatever their supreme leader tells them. If trump said that putting you finger up your ass would cure it, you and many others on here wouldn't even question it, you'd just pull your head out and insert your finger.
Where are all of the amazing success stories? This is part of what separates snake oil cures from reality. This is the current talking point of conservative media but it needs to either transition to reality or go away.
Please let the stories about this drug's effectiveness be true. Seriously. I want to hear about it from the medical community. I have a lot of nurse and doctor friends and so far all I see from them are horror stories from the front lines and pleas for people to stay home and to practice proper hygiene.

This is 100 percent incorrect. It was being prescribed and used regularly in the state of Michigan with COVID patients admitted to the hospital. Your characterization of a ban is the political partisan position.

You are so simple minded it's unbelievable. This drug thing was started by Trump because he was looking for a reason to reopen the US. Someone (probably Fox) told him about the drug. He knew that people like you would follow anything he said so he planted the idea that there was a miracle drug that would cure C-19. If he could get enough people to buy into it, he felt he could remove the lock down. He doesn't care whether the drug works or not. He just needs enough people to follow him. At this point we don't know if the drug will or will not help. Until there's studies, we won't know. Am I ok with certain doctors prescribing it in certain cases, sure, I'm ok with it. What I'm not ok with is saying it's a true cure just because of something a non-expert said.

Last night on MSNBC I watched a 10 minute segment belittling Trump's hydroxychloroquine remarks.
