Why do poor people attend church where the

Rich rule? Seems crazy to me. But most church people are sheep incapable of dealing with the truth. What ya call a person talking to his invisible friend? Crazy. What do ya call a group of people talking to an invisible freind? A church.
Are you referring to people that attend “prosperity bible” churches or poor folks that might attend a church with more affluent parishioners/congregants, or just a general concept that churches of whatever denomination are ruled by the wealthy so why do poor people go? I’ve got thoughts on any of these; just not sure where you’re heading with this question.

Why do people go to church at all? Their parents did?

No one really believes in a virgin birth. What do people recite that they do? How dumb.

Going to Church is like getting free money.

The social sciences are clear: people that go to Church weekly are happier, live longer, give more to charity, volunteer more, have lower suicide rates, less drug overdoses, etc., etc.

The #1 reason America is such a disaster now is because 80% of Americans no longer attend Church and America is an atheist country.

(I didn't go from age 18 to 33.)

IMHO. :)

Why wouldn't poor people go to Church?!

It's free!

Because the people who do tend to vote en masse in ways that impact what other people do in their own private lives. Then they ask the question you did with no apparent sense of irony.
FYI I don’t attend church but if others do it’s their choice.

I think people should give what they can.

I probably give $30 a month. I live in an area with an average income of $200K per year.

So, those rich people can give lots more.
They can? What makes you an expert in that? Do you know what their financial obligations are?

There are lots of folks who do things “en masse” that affect others. Religion is just one thing and the effect is overrated.
You think Southern Baptists and Catholics vote in lockstep?

Why do you think this has happened and is it an American or world wide issue?
Main reason is the church is not meeting the spiritual needs of their flocks .
They rarely teach scripture anymore or take the time to explain it. If people aren’t benefiting then why go?

Time is money. Church and all that prayin’ is expensive!!!
There’s clear scriptural evidence that the early Christians did not collect money. People willingly donated to support the work. Jesus said you received free so give free and the apostle Paul said we are not peddlers of the word of God.
I suppose the Catholic Church still needs those funds coming in To pay off all their lawsuits after decades of moving pedophile priests around to avoid prosecution.

Now now. No need to for you to throw stones from glass houses.

Your ultra secretive Jehova's Witnesses are currently being investigated for covering up child abuse:

"Critics say church elders have treated child sexual abuse as a sin rather than a crime, carefully documenting cases in internal files but not reporting allegations to authorities and sometimes letting the accused remain active in their congregations with access to children from unsuspecting families. Critics also say the church has often required a second witness for complaints, a standard that can be impossible to meet in cases of molestation."

I can guarantee you if those allegations are true those men would be removed from positions of authority and disfellowshipped. That is not the accepted practices of situations of abuse . I’ve never claimed the organization of imperfect men is impeccable. However there’s a huge difference h how it’s handled . The Catholic Church knowingly moved around those men , who stayed in those positions , knowing full well what was happening .

Nonsense. You just made that up.

Jehovas Witnesses are actively covering up sexual abuse now.

That's what happens in a secretive cult that "shuns" people that try to leave.

Is this a cry for help? God does exist, Jesus is your savior. Your choice but when it's time to meet your maker - good luck brother! You are loved whether you accept it or not.

@BrianNole777
I’m not gonna spend time arguing with you .
I’m just gonna leave it here :
Christ said his true followers would be identified by their love for one another .
So if any religion encourages their members to go to war , support earthly government instead of Gods Kingdom and waters down Gods clear moral standards then they are not producing fruitage that Jesus said would identify
true Christians. Ask yourself those tough questions…I don’t claim anyone does it perfectly . I have my own struggles as an imperfect person but I’m comfortable knowing Jehovah’s Witnesses as a GROUP do their best to follow Jesus’ commands. Our unity is known worldwide. No divisions between clergy and lay people. We all study the same information each week based on scripture , don’t support the worlds conflicts , have strict adherence to the Bible’s clear moral teaching. Follow Jesus command to preach the kingdom.
Can your faith claim to do the same?

Wrong and people are not shunned .
If they are unrepentant sinners then yes they are removed to protect the rest of the congregation. It has scriptural backing so you don’t want to go there

laugh all you want but right now u k ow I’m right . You unfortunately belong to the most corrupt religion on earth today.
You seem like a genuinely good person who is spiritually inclined. Sorry you can’t see it . But it’s all good . I suppose having any kind of faith is better than none at all , which is where most of the world is anymore

You are a master at deflecting and a bigot, too. I hope people don't fall for your nonsense when you knock on their doors.

Have a nice day.
