From a pure statistical analysis, the most likely outcome is first choice. Polls should also have Trump’s TBD VP as choice too.
It depends. If the power brokers are alarmed enough about the polls before the convention, I think Biden steps aside and the convention is brokered.

I thought Biden was going to resign about a year ago.
I doubt that either Biden or Trump live another 4+ years. It actually wouldn't shock me if one or both of them didn't make it until Election Day.

Possibly. It's probably the highest chance of a VP taking over for a President in my lifetime, certainly since Reagan. But, I'm ok with that. I'd take Harris a million times before letting Trump have the reigns again. I have confidence that Harris can actually do the job. Trump can't. He's already proven that.
Leslie Stahl interviewed Reagan in 1986 and he had no idea where he was or who she was. She sat on the story. Reagan remained in office until 1989 and to this day few realize how early his dementia started or how severe it was.
Not trying to pick a fight here but in what way does Harris give you confidence and in what way are we in a better domestic and foreign position now than under Trump. It seems obvious to me that we aren't but wanted to get your actual point of view.

I mean I know it's a small sample size but looking at the ages at which recent former presidents died, Ford, Reagan and Bush all made it into their 90's. If Carter makes it to October he will be 100.
So if they both lived another 10 years it wouldn't be super extraordinary.

He did sound good during that scripted and practiced speech. Nailed it. Why am supposed to pay attention to that one thing but ignore the 300 things showing the opposite?
Just because you don't agree with her policies doesn't mean she can't do the job. Outside of the occasional verbal slip up, which pretty much every politician has done, she has been able to do the job without many issues. Things get done.
As for your view of domestic and foreign position, things seem worse because Trump made them worse. You don't get to walk through the China shop, break all the China, and then blame the owner of the shop for having broken China. MAGA's are literally the greatest threat to this country since some southern states decided they'd rather fight a war than give up their slaves. Not even the Soviets actually attacked Americans on American soil.

I don't doubt that she would be effective and that she would surround herself with very competent people. Unfortunately, the country would be torn apart by the people still bitter over the 1850s US Civil War basically because she lacks whiteness.
Obama was a once in a generation talent, extremely intelligent, highly charismatic and gifted orator. He was very successful as president, digging the country out of one of the worst republican economic collapses in the past century. What was the right wing response to his presidency? Actually she was given the task as border czar after she fake cried at the border during Trump's presidency. Then it was pretty well documented that she wanted no part of it. That's who we need leading us. Someone who sees a problem and says "Eff that shit."
Currently, her policies are Joe Biden's policies. But those other things are valid criticisms. They are still more stable and responsible than letting Trump in charge again though. I wouldn't worry that wouldn't be another real election with her in charge. I can't guarantee the no civil war thing though, at this point that could happen no matter who the next Democratic President is. Although I'm not sure enough states would actually be able to support a full on civil war. It's more likely to be an insurrection sponsored by private individuals and at least behind the scenes, supported by state and national legislatures. Kind of like what is happening right now, just with groups actually going around killing people.
lol…what’s been discredited? Biden is/was too fragile mentally to have went through a trial.
