That's a bummer, sorry to hear that. I saw that on ISU Sr day that Willie's dad was able to attend...which is probably the last time then that he was able to watch his son wrestle. I know his dad was very invested in his boy's wrestling and I am sure that Willie and his family will miss him plenty.

About 6 years ago when my son was in a wheelchair at Childrens Hospital in DM, Mr. Miklus saw his High Altitude camp shirt and took the time to stop and talk to us and encourage my son. I always appreciated that.

You know, you are right. I hadn't thought of that. It also feels weird to me since back when my boys were wrestling my oldest son wrestled Willie and Kyven at least a couple of times and as such we got to know both boys, now men, and their dads too.

Good, good people all around, both fathers and sons. It really tears me up that both of these young men lost their fathers so young.

Always been impressed with his sportsmanship.... seems like a great kid.... heart goes out to him and his loved ones.... have a feeling Dads gonna be in his corner this post season.....I’ll definitely be rooting for him
