WNO Updates

Warner could care less about these two. He has already beat them both easily. He has his sights on guys like Moore.
I hear ya. Im just saying it was a good match to watch the current abilities of his future Buckeye and Lion opponents. Very entertaining

Must be a typo in the press release.
Looks like they just put the same list of when he announced his final 5 in January, so who knows who it's down to right now but lately a lot of talk of him going to Ohio state or Iowa state are going around.

Sasso hasn't visited Iowa State yet. Supposedly next Weekend. I think that listed is prior to the Iowa State coaching change

It was actually 7-3. 7-1 in the 3rd, and Silva got a TD as time expired.

Just rewatched the match...Spencer dominated a really good kid. Silva is tough. RBY is going to have to get tougher in ties when shooting from the outside is not working for him. Very smart match by Silva

I remember the match; I thought Lee was giving up at least ten pounds which made the match a battle for him.

I'm not defending Teasdale. Word is that he likes to have a little too much fun, and that is obviously a concern. I just think his skillset translates better to college. I'll always take the guy that can get to the legs.

I agree. Though as someone else said he gets in a lot of the 50/50 low single positions. He needs to develop another leg attack

Were they using new college rules? Sounds like "no"; which could make a huge difference in a match like that.

Silva is tough. I just went back to FLO and watched the match again. Lee was up 5-0 after the second. Silva chose neutral and Lee scored the TD to build a 7-0 lead in the third. Silva later escaped and got a TD at the buzzer. Silva bumped up to 132 for the remainder of the season and finished the year with only one loss. His HS wrestled a tough HS schedule and was also in the WNO duals. That bracket was brutal. Decatur, who earlier in the year beat Teasdale took 5th in that bracket. Real Woods, Alex Mackel and Madrigal were also in the top 6 and they are all D1 kids.

Teasdale quitting was a far worse look to a college coach

Sounds like it's better to be in shape and leg pass than shoot and be out of shape. Especially when you've had months to prepare. Shows a lack of heart.

I know which one I'd want to - the one who didn't quit the last 40 seconds of the match and got a W.

Wow, seems like you guys really dodged a bullet when Teasdale decommited from Iowa. And now PSU is stuck with him.

Yeah yeah sorry some of our guys are bitter and glad he isn't the "next coming," out of the gate. Understandable. Not pathetic as going onto another teams site, picking a few choice quotes and responding. STAY CLASSY

Yeah, you're right. But this board is such a entertaining mix of delusion and bitterness that one just can't get anywhere else; sometimes it's hard not to join the f*n.

Teasdale almost misses a camp (per an interview), blows weight at Juniors, and loses at WNO (0-3 at WNO actually)..Not a bad summer, I guess.

I wouldn't say we dodged a bullet, it's just that we are re-building and can't afford these type of distractions. We already have a full plate with Downey, can't babysit Teasdale too.

It will be interesting to see if he can hold 125 for a college season next year.

Dodged a bullet, or dodged a ball? They play dodgeball at PSU, right?

And then there are some things about psu that are just better left unsaid. People who live in glass houses......

Unless he changes his mind and comes to Iowa, right? Then he's great again.

No because nothing about his wrestling this past year screams can't miss recruit. He lost to a very good glory but I bet nobody would of thought that would happen a year ago and as good as glory is he is still someone who takes loses more than most top level recruits even if most are freestyle but this is still a kid who couldn't place at Fargo as a cadet 2 years ago and didn't win state until this past year losing to Sebastian Rivera in the finals his sophomore year

If he changes his mind: 1) Iowa has to still want him; 2) Cael must have lost some money in the stock market; and 3) he will still be 0-3 at WNO and have missed weight at Juniors and almost missed a camp while in HS.

If he is at 125 for his career, I have a slight feeling Iowa will stick with Lee. If at 133, he has a long way to go...

I will go out on a limb here: Nelson Brands has a better collegiate career than Teasdale -- even if Nelson flips and goes to PSU (then, of course, you guys will think he's great again also).

1-3 at wno he beat rby going into his sophomore year in overtime

Also, in Hidlays post match interview he said he will be making his college commitment after Super 32. I didn't take this to mean after he wins in the finals of the tournament, but moreso the days after Super 32. (Super 32 is Oct. 27-29th)

I remember back in the early 2000’s this forum was all wrestling talk. We didn’t have to read elementary comments like this on this board.

I agree. Enough already. Stop with the pedophilia taunts and the homophobic wisecracks. Tired of looking the other way on this crap.
