Woman shot at Capitol has died

Her white privilege didn't seem to help her much...

Well....the capital police did open up the barricade for them instead of mowing them down with billy clubs and tear gas. I do not know if she was one of the protestors that got to take selfies with the police. There were a lot of those.

Note to self....Getting selfie taken with a police officer gives me immunity from unlawful acts and a free pass on anything I want to do because I'm white.

Should she have been shot? Does anything that happens in portland have anything to do with whether she should be shot or not? WHere is the United States Capitol, full of congress and the vice president located in Portland again?
Federal building was attacked for a month and people inside, well, their life was in danger too.

Did she resist arrest? Didn’t hear anyone say drop your weapon? Should the person who shot her be charged with murder? What color was the person who shot her? What religion? Probably a racist.

Ladies and Gentlemen -
I give you the poster who immediately concluded that Representative Weaver is a “piece of shit” for concluding a prayer calling for peace for everyone with “amen and awoman.”

Maybe if this is what it looked like while people were trying to storm the Capitol yesterday, we wouldn’t be having a discussion about whether or not anybody deserved to get shot. Oh, that’s right, the protesters were white - happy sieging guys, we’ll even open up the doors for you and escort you out when you’re done!

Would you all stop posting stupid shit like this!! Use your goddamn brain and realize that in the BLM protests it was Trump who brought in the National Guard and insisted on a show of force against that movement.

Yesterday on the other hand was a movement spawned and created by Trump so guess what, why would he have the National Guard activated in a show of force against the movement that he created and that movement was doing exactly what he wanted?

QUIT TRYING TO MAKE THIS A BLACK VS WHITE thing because this was not that, it was Trump.

Oh and that supposed video the Capitol Police letting them through the barricade? That was an outer barricade and the other area's barricades had already been breached so wisely the police realized it was useless and decided to retreat before things got violent. It's clear as day in that video.

Trump doesn’t have an obligation to defend the Capitol against domestic terrorism? And I’m the one posting stupid shit?

It’s black vs white in regards to how police forces handled each of the protests. Not difficult to understand. As far as Trump’s handling of both situations, one served his own interests, so he told the protesters he loved them, and the other was not in his interest, so he called them terrorists. Again, not difficult to understand

Quit being deliberately obtuse. Trump does have an obligation to defend the Capitol against domestic terrorism but he is not going to defend the Capitol against his own forces.

If there are any clinicians who can chime in here. Immediately after the shot is fired you notice her arms are up in a position and slightly contorted inward. In medicine, this is called Decorticate posturing and a sign of a brain stem and or corticospinal tract insult. She likely had some involvement of the cervical spine, brain stem, or brain. Not a good thing to have. I used to hate to see this in the ER. Or the other type of posturing called Decerebrate, both types are not a good thing to have. Sometimes when you see a boxer or a football player get knocered out you see their arms doing a posture somewhat similar to this.
Yep. Agreed. This wasn’t just a vascular injury that led to her death (hemorrhage). She suffered a neurological insult instantaneously as well.

“His own forces?” It doesn’t matter who his “forces” are, his role as commander-in-chief implies that the buck stops with him as far as protecting our nation, and especially our capital. Yesterday, he failed. And your insistence that he chose not to stop them means that he is ultimately culpable for what happened and needs to be ousted immediately

(which the rest of us already knew to be true)

I stand by my assessment

Can’t imagine what they were worried about.
