Yes, but I would also take several others. Kirk is a .55 coach in the B1G.
He's better than some of the others I have seen floated on this board in the last 15 years.
Sure...since our last two coaches have spanned the better part of 40 yrs. he seems like he'd be a good one to latch on to for the next couple decades.
Wait has he ever beaten a top 20 team yet? Not sure really but just throwing it out there ... I think his biggest wins were Memphis and SMU and S. Florida so hmmmm
I'd take Bielema over both of them, and several others over both of them. I don't think however that Frost is the next great thing in Coaching. He's a former Nebraska player and they need a Coach. Outside of that I don't think he gets the same amount of steam here or Nationally, but what the hell do I know.

Frost has only coached two seasons at UCF, even Sink the boat had a more accomplished time at Western Michigan considering where they started. So would you take PJ prior to Minnesota over Frost?, I think that's a question with more comparable options.
No. Kirk Ferentz is still a great coach. Frost will be lucky to be half the coach Kirk is.
He's running what, the Texas Tech of the AAC? Spread offense, no defense, shootouts? Sounds like a bad scheme for the B1G. No thanks.

Honestly, if and when KF retires, if our defense turns to crap, Idk if I could take it. Bad defense is just so hard for me to watch.

Still, Ray Anderson, ASU vice president for university athletics, said it was not enough.
“We want to compete for championships and we want to win consistently across the board in all of our sports,” Anderson said. “In … football, we have not done that in the four years since I’ve been here, not consistently. We have been average, 7-5 and second place in a riddled Pac-12 South is not our aspiration.”
ASU vice president does not seem happy with being and average team and going 7-5.
The question of known vs unknown. Only time will tell. One coach took over a team who won 0 games two years ago and is undefeated this year albeit in a non P5. Where was Kirk two years ago? Now? Kirk is your established safe pick where Frost might have a higher ceiling, but still the unknown.
In the past 16 years Ferentz has deliver a 7-5 or worse season 5 times so let’s not pretend that is the norm.
Nope - Ferentz is long-term known commodity, whereas Frost isn't.
