Yea but only because Nebraska's fanbase will literally implode if he goes elsewhere (or stays at UCF) . It would be an off the charts meltdown.

Two-thirds of the respondents to an Arizona Central poll said they were not happy with the AD's decision. Given that Graham's buyout is approximately $12M, the AD has tied his future to the success of his new coach.
Even if we forget Ferentz early years and only look at his past ten years (2008-current)
2-10 win+ seasons 09, 15
4-8/9 win seasons 08,10,13,16
3-7 win seasons 11,14,17 which may end up as 8 wins
1-losing season 12
As comparing similar collegiate accomplishments by big ten coaches in those last ten years it seems to go Meyer, Dantonio, then Ferentz. If that's my known for the next ten years vs unknown with Frost I'm taking Ferentz

To beat Wisconsin and Iowa and compete in the West Division, I think Nebraska should hire a power football coach, like BB. The problem with Nebraska is they get out physical'd when they play the power teams, and is Frost going to be the answer to that? I saw a tweet from John Miller I believe, and he thought Frost would be better for Iowa as Nebraska's coach then would BB. I agree, I think BB would have been a perfect fit for Nebby and would have made the West a bloodbath between Wisconsin, Nebraska and Iowa.

I'd take Senior PGA Professional David Frost over Kirk....one season ending blowout over a lame duck coach and "mail it in" team is going to change my mind one bit. Kirk still needs to go.
You're right. UCONN is a big game for Frost. That rivalry dates all the way back to the Bob Diaco years at UCONN.
Would never support a head coach that looks like he might die at any moment from heart failure....besides how hypercritical is it to look like a sloppy POS and expect your players to be in tip top condition. I mean its just super lazy, the dude makes millions and has access to the best equipment, nutritionists and personal training in the world and continues to add 50 lbs every year.... Ill take a pass on that one

Until I see the guy prove to me he can coach big boy football, no.
What I'd really like to see is CFU take on a team like Wisconsin in their bowl game this year (of course assuming that UW loses to OSU to make that even remotely possible).
I know Nebraska fans have a major woody for Frost...but I tend to be a prove it to me kind of person when it comes to coaching hires.

Well sure Frost cause he's coming from a 12-0 UCF team and Kirk came from a decent Maine team 20 years ago. I wouldn't trade him for Kirk now and that's all that matters.
Of course, Nebraska fans are treating Scott Frost as the second coming. But what did he do, or, the better question would be, what did he not do back in September 1995?

At this point, absolutely. I'm tired of Kirk and his mediocrity culture. Kirk a mosquito dick (thank you Clay Travis) coach and I want our program to be a helicopter dick program. I want our coach to show up in press conferences, swinging his dick in his hand, slam it on the podium, and say "what's up bitches".
Problem is Iowa can't really get a proven P5 coach. We're not gonna get a Dabo Swinney, Harbaugh, Saban, or Urban Meyer. A guy like Frost from a good non-P5 FBS program is about at the top of our wheelhouse, and you hope he turns into a Dabo Swinney.
The other option is go for a big name O or D coordinator.
He very quickly turned around UCF but has a lot yet to prove. That's why I said I'd take Kirk over him right now. I would be pretty excited to get an up and coming coach like him when Kirk retires though.
BB was 11-29 in the SEC, and still gets some love on this board.

I really hope that our fan base can not reflect our pathetic societal norm of grasping for the "flavor of the week" or "the grass is always greener" mentality. There is something to be said about consistency and our program has been fortunate to have two head coaches that represent our school and state the right way. Some of you obviously will never get it or understand that we are extremely fortunate to have the stability that we have. How many programs have players who graduated 20 years ago that can come back and still see the same faces that were there when they played? To me that is super cool.
Maybe we can learn from other programs who continue to search for this or that to take their program to the "next level". Even blue blood programs are prone to this- Nebby and now look at the fiasco caused by fans in Tennesee. Look at Michigan since moving on from Carr. Just my opinion and I understand some of you hate KF for whatever reason you have and that is your prerogative, but this leads me to believe that the people that are in this boat do not know a damn thing about football.

Not sure how you could call it "flavor of the week" when we have a coach that will be here 28 years if he goes full term of the current contract. In the past 10 years, we have won 9 or more games only 3 times. Wisconsin has done it 8 times with 3 different coaches. So, maybe it's time to change the vanilla flavor so we can at least do half as well as Wisconsin.
I am saying that we have been fortunate enough to not chase our tails and our administration has been wise enough to not listen to the vocal minority in our fan base, who much like most fanbases, are so reactionary and also do not know a damn thing about about football.
