Xavier Foster

Nothing you can take away from those highlights other than Foster is tall and athletic.

Tall and athletic compared to average high school kids his age,... I will be curious to see how he looks on a floor filled with division 1 players.

Not sure how true it is.

Someone on the pay board mentioned it so I just did a quick Twitter search.

Hopefully good. ESPN has him as 51; 247 has X at 59; Rivals at 56. Thinking he's played a lot of the guys against whom he'll play in college. Top 100 players probably always dominate their HS competition but not All Star or AAU competition.

I don't know who could watch 14 minutes of Foster blocking layup attempts from kids a foot shorter than him.

I’ll take tall and athletic 8 days a week. You can definitely see the potential there. He has good form on his shots.

And possibly starting for Kansas. It’s in the thread somewhere.

Reminds me of a young Tyson Chandler physically and athletically.
Come to Iowa,X.!

He held his own with USA Basketball (not only D1 guys there but one and done guys that are now in the NBA)

We have one now. His name is Nunge......
I think Jack might put up better block numbers than anyone last year, but he's probably not going to be huge presence around the basket. He averaged 3 blocks his Sr year, compared to the 6.2 blocks per game Foster had his Jr year.

That's not new. They have been apart for awhile now.

How do you know?

I love recruiting gossip as much as the next guy but when we start tracking high school relationships it gets creepy quick. This isn't Degrassi.
Funny that if this were general knowledge for "a while", that some clone fans would have still thought that was a factor...

What is Degrassi? Teenage soap opera? Knowing that is just as creepy if so.

3 blocks versus high level Indiana competition. 6 blocks against Iowa white boys.

I realize the competition is different, but it doesn't make what Foster has done negligible. I'll be very surprised if they have similar block numbers in college, given both playing over 4 years, and I really Nunge's skill level. IIRC Woodbury was no where near 6 blocks per game against Iowa school boy competition, and defense was his thing.

You are such a dipshit. You were on cf earlier today trying to find out the twitter handle of the guy who said this, now you are acting like it’s no big deal, everyone knows. Dufus
Yes I was. I felt like telling the person they were weird as hell for talking about a HS kid breaking up with his gf. It is a little on the creepy side. People around osky have known it for awhile. It was new to people on message boards today but people around him have obviously known it for awhile, and in all honesty it is no big deal he is young and going off to college soon. Alot of people kick their HS fling to the curb before going to college.

She's in college already, right? So they are very young and have been apart enough for him to make a decision. Kind of harsh to put it that way.

Yes it might have been. Nobody but them knows what happened and nobody else should. But in today's society that's the way the younger generation is. Even my generation was like that. I dated the same girl from 7th grade till the summer of graduation and we went our separate ways. Hope they both find happiness with others but it happens.

Yeah.... Foster had 148 blocks last year. Only 4 other teams (obviously not counting Oskaloosa) had more than Xavier alone! Of course one of those teams also had a player with more than Xavier!
Christian Heilbuth JR Siouxland Christian had 156 in 2 fewer games.

Jesus, is this even rare? Almost every HS relationship ends somewhere between graduation and Labor Day. These dopey kids put their lives on social media, which we would have done when we were dopey kids. Great way to let the world know you're on the hunt I suppose.

The odds of HS relationship, and that's even too big a word really, making it through college, much less marriage, are remote. I mean man buns, skinny jeans, soy lattes and beta males may be au courant today but young men are dogs....designed to propagate the species and young women seem far more promiscuous than they did 40 years ago, and there was a lot of boning in Burge 40 years ago.

There will be thousands of girls lining up to be X's "girlfriend" wherever he goes to college.

His relationship has nothing to do with where he is going. Never has and never will. The only thing it really did was got him on Iowa State campus an aweful lot and got him tight with the Cyclone players and coaches. The guy that said it will be awkward if he goes to Iowa State. No. 35k students or so go to Iowa State. I went to high school with 2K and everyone broke up with girls and guys all the time and it's minor weird at first.

Also, I can't believe I am actually disgussing this. This thread has turned creepy with people stalking him and his girlfriend. Ugh

As an IA State fan, you are grasping at any argument you can.

He's coming to Iowa.
