Actually, it’s an idea whose time has come. I see nothing wrong with a hearty debate/discussion on the idea.
Of course they should unionize to get better pay and benefits. American workers are incredibly stupid. We are the least unionized workforce of the wealthiest nations.

Unions haven't done shit for the American worker for over 70 years.
Today's unions are not "downtrodden workers banding together to fight for better pay and working conditions." They're Big Businesses. Their business is to collect union dues. That's it.
And to make matters worse, they're parasitic organizations. They don't produce anything that anybody wants. They just suck the life out of organizations that DO produce things that people want.
And the workers who actually pay union dues? They're the suckers.
This description actually makes the idea compelling for Congress. Anything that sucks the life out of politicians is a good thing. A great thing. And no Bill we don't mean that kind of sucking.

Curious. Why do you think the workers don't have the right to organize and bargain collectively?
Because they're bargaining against YOU AND ME. You know, the taxpayers.
Government employee unions should have NEVER been allowed.

Is that a serious question? Of course Congress could do it. They won’t without a good reason (or actually they don’t do anything unless it’s an emergency).
I don’t know why anyone would choose to work in government.
What I appreciate about this post is that it manages to fail on numerous levels.
The piss poor attempt at linking Warren’s quote to his accusation against her is obvious.
But then there’s the sympathetic reference to the treatment of indigenous peoples; from someone who supports a political party that continues to malign and take advantage these people in the present day.
Then, for good measure, they attach the “white privilege” label to Warren, the Oklahoma born woman of modest means that worked her way through school and raised her children while building a career in academia. Somehow, KF is seemingly unaware that the originator of the “Pocahontas” term at the heart of this discussion (Trump) is the poster boy for white privilege.
That you could pack so much FAIL into so little space is truly impressive. Kudos.

My point is, Warren’s statement is like a member of a company’s Board of Directors saying “You know, I have a great idea...our employees should unionize so we can pay them more!”
More fresh hell ideas from the left.
If a Congressperson's staff needs more pay, it should come from that Congressperson's personal accounts or the graft and corruption $$ they generate. Not a dime should come at taxpayer's expense.
