I'm with you there as well. From my very limited knowledge (interviews and discussions on wrestling sites, forums, etc.), the PSU kids seem every bit as good as our kids. Again, very limited knowledge but I don't have to look too far or dig too deep to find some pretty questionable shit that a couple of our boys have been involved with, and it's probably the same on the PSU side as well. That said, I think some of us are just trying to find something or someone to put on the blame-line, when the reality is we're just being out-coached right now. Whether it's recruiting or instilling the killer instinct, Brands is a step or two behind Cael. I'm sure Tom knows it and I'm sure he's trying to get us back on top. Hopefully he gets it all figured out...and really soon would be nice.

I don't give a damn about post match antics as long as a guy wins and helps us win championships. TnT were and still can be raging aholes but we all loved them when they were winning titles. For the record I still do love them but were still playing checkers while others have moved on to chess. I'm talking about in 3 major phases - recruiting, strength and conditioning, and versatile skill development. We are NOT a top program in any of these three areas any longer and it needs to change big time.
The problem is that seems to only be the case with 1-2 guys per year. I don't know this for a fact but it SEEMS like Terry has his 1-2 guys he focuses on and damn he obviously can develop them but it's not spreading to the rest of the room for whatever reason. Almost like a specialist/personal coach for 125/133? We need that laser focus and confidence boosting mentality to spread further up the lineup.
No. He currently usually takes some “time off” during important matches to catch his breath. He hasn’t been able to use cross-wrist armbat tilt at will. And he’s not beating any of last year’s opponents as soundly or as easily.
He absolutely does not look himself, especially Thursday.

My friend, if our guy "just ran out of gas" we need to get a new strength and conditioning coach. Running out of gas after 4 matches at the NCAA tourney cannot be used as an excuse for why our #1 ranked and #1 seeded wrestler will be wrestling for 7th tomorrow (and he collapsed much in the same manner last year and finished 6th). As a fan, I love Marinelli, but he brought himself to where he was yesterday (the #1 guy in the land, B10 champ, and demigod to the wrestling world), and he also brought himself to where he is now (total collapse again this year and wrestling for 7th). He owns it and there are no excuses. He'll be king again next year, and if he happens to suffer an early loss in the big dance next year, for the team, he needs to fight back and be the best that he can be..and that ain't 6th or 7th.
