Sec Def nominee Pete Hegseth was forced out of 2 non profit veterans organizations for drunken behavior, financial mismanagement, and sexy stuff

Just about every single one of these people are just figureheads. None of them will actually be making any decisions other than to excitedly babble their head up and down every time Trump says too. Oh, and don't wait for the Cabinet meeting where he demands they all verbally suck him off in front of the press. I'm sure they will be good at that too. Real decisions will be made by people we have never heard of and would rather no one ever know them.
But wait, I thought he was going to dismantle the Deep State. What you just described is a literal Deep State.

Everyone just needs to take a deep breath and let the Senate exercise their function of advice and consent.

I'm confident that the right decision will be reached.

What is the right decision that you're confident in?

I find it odd how many injuries UCONN has..

Following is a chronology of UConn women's injuries for the 2021 2022-23 seasons. It does seem like an inordinate number of disabling injuries. I did not include illness, game-to-game, or minor injuries teams incur.

I'm not implying anything nefarious or questionable ethics.

Miller Moss looking at Iowa?

It has worked well for Oregon, and I know Iowa is not Oregon, but cam ward is another perfect example.
Oregon is more offensively oriented and Iowa is built in the opposite direction. It’s gonna be tough for Iowa to bring in a high quality QB as opposed to Oregon, USC, tOSU, Michigan and other “marquis” schools. They have to find the “right guy” like Indiana did…Indiana/Cignetti will have an easier time now after their initial success.

He looks good on TV. That was his main qualification.
Does he look good on tv? Hair that looks like a hay field, he's the color of an orange Oompa loompa, he's grossly obese, he mumbles and bumbles and repeats himself and struggles to follow a teleprompter , he craps his pants, and he never changes his suit. He's an abomination.

Will Cryosleep ever be a real thing in the next 100 years?

Barkley is a player dawg!

As a lifelong Hawkeye, I still see him running through the Iowa D. As an Eagle fan I hated him as a Giant, but absolutely love him as an Eagle. Same went for Nick Foles. Hated that SOB at Arizona, but run the Philly Special and win a SB and you'll be Big D Nick to me forever!

The sh*tty Little Debbie culture starts w/ the Head Coach, Matt Rhule, who walked thru the Iowa warmup lines & then asks Jay Higgins, "Who are you?"

Bingo they don’t pray at home. To be honest who really believes they are “praying” when they are at midfield on the road. Let’s call it what it really is. Game of psychological warfare. Worked against USC but the old captain turned the table on them and got in rhule and the huskers’ heads.
Got USC to react, yes. USC still won by 8.

Debbie loses 5 players to the portal...so far

It’s not just coaching. It’s the culture from the administration, fans, media, players and the coaches. It’s a much bigger issue than just coaching.
Troy Dannen is a good to damn good AD, he certainly was when UNI was at their peak. Players are because of coaches. I will agree that their fans exemplify what they put out, a bunch of mullet wearing, single-wide living, cousin loving blumpkins

Miller Moss looking at Iowa?

Is slaton getting a look? I’d prolly rather have Moss if we can keep Sullivan too…
Arkansas just lost a good young QB as well, dual threat type guy 4 star out of HS… did well in limited playing time this year…
Gonna be A LOT of QBs in portal
Bring your wallet…THAT is the gamble….why would colleges be better at this lottery than the pros? What is the “bust or best” ratio in the NFL? ;)

Why do we hardly ever see the chains brought on field to make a measurement?

I think I’ve observed the same thing in the college game, at least in the last couple seasons. A set of downs will almost always begin exactly on a yard line, making the on-the-field determination of a first down much easier.

Does anyone know if this is a real, deliberate thing? For example, has the NCAA stated publicly that this is the officiating norm?
Probably not publicly but it’s one of the first mechanics you learn as a football ref so it’s just an accepted part of officiating and the game itself. If a ball is intercepted on the 34 1/2 yard line, no one bats an eye if it starts on the 34 or 35. Outside of maybe the last possession.
