How's Keegan Doing?

I really thought Keegan would thrive this year. Although adding DeRozan knocked him down a peg on the offensive totem pole. The regression on his 3 point shot is baffling. From setting the 3 point rookie record two years ago to shooting <30%. Have to think he’s having confidence issues at this point that aren’t helping. He needs to keep shooting, and hopefully he’ll string a few games together where he shoots well because right now, he’s struggling shooting in every single game.

When did you realize your kid was/wasn't game for extra competitive sports?

There was nothing in between for a kid to have a casual interest in sports. You were either 100% serious, or there was really no place for you, so I feel bad about my younger son's experience.

That’s the problem with sports in larger communities IMO. I’ve coached Little League for years because I want there to be leagues for kids who care but don’t want play 50 games a year.

My two older kids do some level of club soccer, baseball, basketball, football. My 7 year old does some basic stuff but you can tell already he really doesn’t care. He does Karate and stuff like that.

Lazy assholes who leave shopping carts in the middle of the parking lot

Totally ludicrous but it’s definitely a take.
I mean, is it? There is no fine. Typically there is a cart return 100 feet away max. It a decision you make that you can just leave something borrowed wherever you want, blocking other people from parking and possibly having it blow into another car scratching paint. Would your opinion change if there was a sign by the carts saying you are required to return your cart? Or if it was your paint scratched? Or do think every store should have cart boys like ball boys in tennis, sprinting out to return your cart as you put the last bag into your cart? Would you be willing to pay for the extra labor built into the prices at the store?

Why is Nebber such a lil bro to Iowa?? Why can’t they compete at our level?

I saw a post on their board talking about how “jealous” Iowa fans are of their history. It tells a lot about their mindset. I have never met an Iowa fan who cares about Nebraska’s titles, other than being sick of hearing about them. They have an immense sense of arrogance that bleeds into the program, creating the thuggish culture we’ve witnessed under multiple coaches there. They cling desperately to “blue blood” status, but nobody cares about a game from 30 years ago

Good MAGA morning.,,

Anybody remember when Hillary conducted classified government business on a private home server - deleted 30k emails and smashed her cell phones and nobody (Wray) cared? Or Uncle Joe was too old to be prosecuted like Trump for handlind of classified documents yet remained President? White house cocaine?🤷‍♂️ Fauci? Pelosi? Ukraine$$$?The list is never ending. Welcome aboard Mr. Patel. Sorely needed.

Incoming vs Outgoing

If Iowa wins eight or more games next season, it will be a minor miracle. Replace 2024 games with Northwestern, @Maryland, Washington, and @UCLA with 2025 games against Penn State, @Rutgers, Indiana, and @USC and you’ve got a recipe for disaster.
??? Disaster? Rutgers is 4-5 in B1G play. When have they beat Iowa or really been a concern? It totally remains to be seen what Indiana is next year with most all of their transfers gone. They lost handily to the only really good team they played this year and we play at Kinnick. USC? Whatever. PSU at Kinnick. We beat them at home more often the not, and they always have the better roster. I'll bet our offense is better next season, the defense will be better then people think, and special teams will be top notch. Lets play the games.....

Congrats to Iowa State

Congrats on being in the weakest conference, for an easier playoff path. Brilliant foresight.
Yeah, Do you think Iowa would go undefeated in the B12, I don't think so. The B10 has a lot of dead weight in football, take out Ohio State, Oregon, and Michigan they are no better than anyone else. By the way, the weak ISU did beat Iowa this year. I think someone is butthurt because ISU won 10 games is going to their championship game with a shot of a playoff birth.

This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

The plunging ruble is starting to affect Chinese companies. They don’t care about Ukrainian territorial integrity, or civilians being massacred, but they might be more inclined to push for peace if it hurts them in the wallet.

Rutgers "Insider" Claims Elite Guys Leaving Both PSU and Iowa

Maybe that’s true, but if you go back and read through some of these posts going into nationals last year, many of you were predicting him as an All-American.
What’s your point? Based on how he was wrestling at the time, Glazier had a shot at getting to All-American. He didn’t get the job done. Us predicting/hoping he would make it isn’t the same thing as him being a consistently All-American caliber wrestler

JonBenet Ramsey

These documentaries can really skew perception. One I watched had me 70% convinced it had to be the family. After reading up on everything I was more like 50/50. Now after this documentary I’m thinking maybe 15% chance it was the parents. The police work was awful in hindsight, but they arrive thinking she has been taken from the house, find the note (which was so strangely written) was from Patsy’s notebook, then Jon Benets body is found in the basement. I guess I can see why they zeroed in on the Ramseys, even though they probably didn’t do it with what is known now.
Absolutely they can skew. But it really does a thorough job making its points, and there are so many people in this pointing out the numerous shoddy, sometimes downright incompetent police work. And the reasons the public was so confused are so common: an investigator who was a genius in his own mind has made his mind up, a journalist was all too willing to print police leaks by this guy to feed the media frenzy, and a lazy national media lapped it up in all its sensationalism. Meanwhile, the boring and old Denver detective, who was doing the boring work of actually getting the little facts right in order to eliminate theories, was getting closer to the truth than anyone. And it doesn’t seem he has a tie to this doc, nor is he interviewed (though I’m not completely done with it).
^ Always thought the circumstances of how she was found was a set up. You conduct a first search but don’t find her laying in the middle of a room or turn the light on; you conduct a second search with a good friend so you are not alone when you find her?

I did think the top grade investigator cop who came in later made some great points and his theories were more likely.
I think you are talking about the same investigator. Older guy at the time, with a reputation of solving hard cases?
